They are always nasty to Cal there. But I guess since we stole Knox from them ([laughing]), I can understand it.
Hagans started struggling when all of the talk of who was the best defender in the country ramped up. Might have let it get to his head and now pressing the issue. Needs to just defend and find the open man and not think about anything else.
Your whole life you are taught to foul hard to prevent the score and make them earn it. In my opinion he was close enough to the ball, but he missed it and got arms instead. It is a judgment on whether you think he got arms on purpose or if he just missed the ball.
Hagans worries me, I hate to say. Missouri with some elements of LSUs game plan. Except they can’t score. After Payne’s comments this week about Hagans sometimes pouting and being immature, I do wonder if he is a pg that can help us contend for a title. A lot of limitations to his game.
I hope Duke wins out and gets the overall #1, then gets ambushed in the Elite Eight or Final Four.
