Game day was never realistic, in my opinion. Though FOX big noon kickoff was very realistic, but with game on CBS thatās likely out too

zero chance fox picked psu/Maryland, imo. They wouldnāt pass up an undefeated OSU and the ratings that come with it

You are right it's possible that Fox had 1st pick and chose PSU, but I doubt it.
This week's game windows are confusing with the CBS noon, and Fox 3:30 slots. Especially since the "normal" schedule under the new media deal (beginning next year) is Noon (FOX), 3:30 (CBS), 7:30 (NBC), possible FS1 games? plus Peacock exclusives, and whatever is left on BTN.
Need another reason to get in the stadium early?
CBS main team is Nessler and Dainelson. You figure theyāll call the prime time LSU-Alabama game.
Tom McCarthy has been their backup guy, with a rotating cast of color commentators. So heāll likely do our game or the 3:30 sec game.
Theyāve used a whole bunch of other PxP guys so will be tough to say who the 3rd team will be

Rose Bowl itself has been a consistent time. Still was an issue making present deal.
Iād say it is Fox more than cfb in general. Texas-OU is related to the fair and tOSU-Mich is just what it is.
Next year when the network setups are fully in place, weāll see if Fox gets quite as many seemingly first picks.
Do wonder if there will be Fox/CBS scheduling flips around World Series. This year it works with SEC/CBS and getting limited B1G games.

Thanks, itās been a hobby of mine recently researching tv slots, networks, etcā¦and making predictions where games will fall. Having a job with lots of downtime sitting in front of a computer certainly helps, lol.
And yesā¦no one should be upset..we are THE big ten game of the week in 2 weeks. Letās show the nation we belong (hopefully both on and off the field)
It's really been amazing when you think we had multiple games this year on the btn overflow channel IN OUR OWN STATE. And now this. Great stuff.
Also find it very cool that Rutgers is one of two schools to have 2 home games on cbs. (psu being the other one)..
Having a good showing again on the network csn only improve our chances next year of multiple 3:30 cbs games.
Hopefully we don't hear Powell will be out for this game. Need him big time for this one. We are not thin at LB if no Powell with Wright Collins out for first half.
Iām 100% fine with Powell out for OSU. Iād much rather have him 100% for Iowa.

No one knows for certain, but you can assume with high confidence they didā¦Fox would be dumb not to chose this game if they had first
Not anymore! Look at the ratings this year and last year. Noon games are killing it.
Itās also cause the only ābig gamesā we know of here have happened under the lights. Win a few big games at noon and those thoughts will change

I'm talking about the current state of College Football and TV viewership. More people are enjoying the noon games on TV.
I do remember the Arkansas game was a beautiful day at Rutgers Stadium!
Yes, not a night game. Not all Rutgers big wins were at night as @mikemarc1 was saying.
Others I can think of but not on a national scale were Navy in 2005 (got Rutgers bowl eligible for the first time since the Garden State Bowl) 2005 vs Cincinnati got us into the Insight Bowl.
