He had a slightly down crew at Michigan, but is really shining at Harvard. I'd rather have him, a guy who has real head coach experience in big-time college basketball, than a gamble on some assistant or a hotshot from a small school. Plus, he seems like a really stand-up guy.
Big name. Good Coach. Even though he wouldn't be able to recruit for a year, kids would still want to play for him.
If he is named (and there is a .001 percent chance of that), I'd expect DS to put up a Pearl Recruiting Countdown Clock.</p>

...mississippi ties are pretty important. I like Amaker and others mentioned but we need someone who can bring in the top players from our own State. Jones from FSU might fit that bill, but has he been a head coach before at any level higher than high school?
Guy has rehabilitated his rep and taken a previously crap USM team to the NCAA's. Mississippi connections.
