No one here hates passing QBs, hell we want them, but to be productive a QB needs to be able to RUN, or, have a Legit OL to put up passing numbers your thinking about. Reality is KT is very raw and a
Project. He had potential but good defenses are going to load the box and make him go
Through his reads. Hes a long way from being able to do that.

80% of QBs are either pass happy or run happy. The rest are paid 4M in NIL.

He’s damn sure a tough guy and certainly not a bad D1 QB. But he was not gonna beat OM… just like he couldn’t beat Texas, Florida, A&M, Georgia, TN or pretty much every sec team that does not commit 20 penalties in a game. Virtually everyone on the board wanted to replace the quarterback because the OL was so bad and Shapen had no chance because they were so bad. We scored 29 points against a defense ranked 26th in the nation in the bowl game. Giving up 43 against a team with its top 2 receivers and best tailback out is why we were not competitive. With a good+ oline, Shapen was by far the better option. With a bad oline, Shapen had no chance to win games and you go with the mobile QB.

Somehow you miss why people were saying they wanted to swap QB and then blaming them for not complaining about the OL... when the swap of QB call is literally complaining about the OL.
