It seemed she was a length or two ahead after the first quarter.. yet we never let her get further ahead. She won that race in the first lap.

Great moment with Dressel and his family there. Would be awesome to experience something like that yourself or with your kids.
If that race was the 110m instead of the 100m Dressel prolly loses.

He won that race at the start. A fraction of a second slower off the start and he loses. Thankfully he was the best there.

They were replaying the 3 on 3 women's basketball game and that just looked like a clusterf*ck out there. I think they are getting a bit ridiculous with all of these "sports" they are adding to the Olympics.
If field goals were 6 points and TDs were only 3, Tom Brady probably would not be considered a GOAT.
I watched a bit of that. I am not sure how that version of the sport is in the Olympics.

Here's the problem. An 18-year old just took Simone's gold. She has a lot more career left than Simone and is, at least currently, not afraid of the pressure.
Simone is like Albert Belle. Had a nice run but no longevity.
That’s fine. Everyone gets older. You can’t stop it. Suni Lee is awesome and is going ti lead US Gymnastics in the future. She, as of today, is not better than Biles. No one is. Could Lee pass Biles? It’s possible but not certain. Regardless of these Olympics, Biles is doing things no one has ever done in women’s gymnastics so much so that the scoring process was changed so she can’t be rewarded for those moves because the IOC doesn’t want other women getting injured trying to do them all while overcoming being abused by her former Olympic doctor. Her resume speaks for itself. Her performances speak for itself. These Olympics don’t damage her legacy. They enhance it as an athlete and a person. Why do you think people like Kerri Strug, Dominique Moceanu, etc have come to her defense?
She’s lasted as long or longer than most other gymnasts except for maybe that 46 year old Russian. Longevity isn’t a thing in gymnastics. It was more than a nice run too. It was the greatest run ever.
It's not the age difference as much as it is missing opportunity. I still think Biles is better, she's certainly more accompolished. But these were HER Olympics to dominate after coming onto the scene in 2016..
24 is old in gymnastics. Like retirement old. She hasn't lost a major competition since 2013 and has 4 Olympic gold medals and 19 world championship medals. Her longevity is exactly what you'd expect out of a gymnast performing the type of moves she does.
Mental health and wellness doesn’t give a damn about that. If it did, Chuck Knoblach would’ve been able to throw a baseball, David Duval would’ve been able to hit a golf ball. They both were in the prime of their career. Mental health doesn’t discriminate.
