I wonder what Bolt looks like when he is trying his hardest on every stride from the get-go? Probably a blurred pair of running shoes and an evil laugh as he heads over the horizon.
I always think of this:

Bolt had to push himself in that final. Watching the slowmo he definitely had to work for it more than he has in the past. 9.8 is still crazy speed but doubt at age 30+ he is ever going to get close to his WR speed again.

The question now becomes how long does 9.58 stand?

Think 10.49 gets broken in the next 5 years. The only chance 9.58 goes down in the next decade(s) is if Bolt has one of those days left in the tank.

I thought he got off slow that's why I was wondering what full tilt Bolt looks like but I guess 9.58 is the answer to that.

Ya but was that 9.58 time the one in the last olympics where he let up at the end? There was one olympics where he completely let up the last 20% of the race where it seemed like he could have gotten a much better time.

Group B in basketball could end up in just about any order with only 2 games left. Spain could win the group or end up in 5th and miss the knockout round. If Spain and Croatia both win tonight, we have a 4-way tie.

If Spain beats Argentina, we play Croatia first round. If Argentina beats Spain, we play Brazil first round.

France could play any of Lithuania, Spain, Croatia, and Argentina in the other quarterfinal on our side of the bracket.

One day my boys from China will clean house on the Olympics. You stinkin Americans think you got it made. But my money long term is on the Chinese. Funniest thing is, you Americans living up like it's 1990 block party. Living in the moment. USA #1!!! USA#1!!!, so arrogant that you'll just assume that USA will always be on top. No my friends. China in about 150 years will decimate the American in the Olympics. You don't stand a chance. It might not affect you. But guess what? You reproductive bunnies will make children, and they will make children. Point being. The world doesn't revolve around 2016 America, and your grand kids will suffer and will probably cope through maladaptive sex and substance abuse problems.

China number 1.

Eat it.

Everything I have watched today has caused Americans to lose. Boxing, Wrestling, ocean swimming, volleyball, Field hockey, track and field....And they keep showing the Sweeden win over the USWNT

Ugh FML....I am going to bed.

Ok, I've been fine with NBC's coverage for the most part so far, but am DONE now. Women's 100 meter hurdle prelim with MICHELLE JENNEKE! They didn't even put the camera on until they were in the blocks! She got sixth so she's out! Michael Phelps and Michelle Jenneke's warm up are they 2 main events of the whole shebang and they dropped the ball, big time.

Willy is a Chinese double agent. He's the one that holds all of the ancient secrets that make our clothes so clean. It's why the CIA can't merely assassinate him.

I don't think you understand sarcasm, or the Olympics for that matter. You realize that there are athletes representing over 100 countries that went to college in the US? Many are US citizens. This isn't new. I don't know the numbers but I would bet a huge portion of the athletes in the Olympics live and train in the US. Heck, the Russian swimmer that was booed for doping has lived in LA for like 6-7 years.

Germany knocks out #1 Brazil in women's beach volleyball.
That Ludwig chic looks pissed off all the time.

US takes on the other Brazil squad to make it into the gold round later tonight.
