Spanish Bay - Difficult links course but the scenery along the Pacific at dusk with the bagpipes playing was something else.
Phoenician - Beautiful desert course meticulously maintained.

the Cowboys is pretty darn nice but don't try to walk it. It was a gift to Ok. State from the creator of Ping. I had the chance to play Pinehurt #2 Shumley thru a company event and had to cancel due to a conflict but I hear from those that went it was incredible.

A Jack Nicklaus course. It wasn't the most beautiful, but it was definitely the most challenging, and it had the fastest greens I've ever putted on. You could barely tap the damn ball and it would leave a trail of flames behind.

I have played many of the great golf courses in the US....Pinehurst #2, Pebble Beach, Torrey Pines, Bethpage Black, Sawgrass....just to name a few.

Harbour Town remains my favorite course out of all of those, and probably my favorite course of all time. Most of those courses were quite punishing, and on some I didn't even break 90. Harbour Town is playable, and just requires an excellent short game. Its not terribly long. Some holes are somewhat narrow, but not to the point of inducing claustrophobia. Its last line of defense are the tiny little greens that are hard as granite. I think I hit 3 greens in regulation and still shot in the low 80s. Plus, I had a birdie-par-birdie-par finish to win everyone's money.

Of course, I'm heading to Kiawah next weekend, so we'll see if Harbour Town can keep its place.

I have to say that Reunion in Madison, when it is in prime shape, is right up there with any course in my opinion.<div>
</div><div>Missouridawg - I played Redstone last year and wasn't that impressed. Maybe I need to give it another go closer to the tournament. Shot 88 there and I am about a 15 handicap.</div><div>
</div><div>Played the course at the Four Seasons<span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 15px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; ">Peninsula Papagayo and that was a fine course also. Ocean views from 14 of 18 of the holes.</span></div>

I grew up playing Bethpage Black at least 2 or 3 times a month. It wasn't in as good of shape as they have made it for the US Open, but the design was always there. It was always listed as a difficult course for more advanced players. It is one of five courses at the Bethpage complex. In those days it was always the one with the shortest wait time so that is the one we usually played.

This was before the sleeping in the car thing to get on line. That all started after I moved to Mississippi.

the rabbit is horrible...not even top 5 in the state.

The Frederica Club over at Sea Island is the best I've ever played. Snedeker, Zach Johnson, Lucas Glover anda bunch of guys usually go over there the week before the Master's because the greens are so similar. Crazy fast, crazy undulated

Mountain and desert scenery werebeautiful. That was also my first experience with a forecaddie. If any of you ever play at a course that offers a forecaddie please take advantage. Sure, the tip will cost you $50 - $75 but they know the course and where to hit it to leave yourself in the best situation. I almost played the golf course at the Wynn Hotel butI just couldn't make myself pay $500 for a round of golf.

Municipal course in Jackson is great too. When the windblows from the west you can smell the elephant poop from the zoo. Augusta National can't make that claim.
