Opinion on Who Mount Airy Will Play in Round 2

I guess that’s my point. We won’t really know about the until the east or shelby match up
Since we want to talk about stats and not scores, how many yards did MA have those games compared to Tarboro?
Who told you that MA played the hardest schedule in 3A? Just curious as it's not MaxPreps or Brian Simmons. Is this just another "fact" that MA fans made up?
You need to go back and look at stats no it all. When you hold a team that rushes for 500 yards a game to a total of 65 yards and no first downs in the second half that is shutting them down. Shutting them down has to do with their offense and scoring a bunch. Football IQ on here is really lacking. That is why tarboro gets a ton of respect cause their fans and even coach craddock understands good teams.

IQ in general is lacking. Let me point out a couple of things for you. "Shutting a team down" quote is an opinion. That has nothing to do with football IQ. If team A beats team B by 21, you may think you "shut them down", while my opinion of shutting down is winning by 28+. Second, I asked if MA "shut them down" is it fair to say that Tarboro shut down MA too? Yes or No? Maybe it was just two good teams playing that year and they both kind of shut each other down?
Also, one of the almighty MA fans stated "like no one ever has". Tarboro has been shut down a lot worse by other teams than the almighty MA. East Surry beat them worse & Havelock beat them worse. That's not a dig on Tarboro, but more to point out MA is just delusional as they think they are gods gift to football.
Tarboro players, coaches and fans are respected because they aren't posting stupid crap on a forum day in and day out.

I'll also ask you for the stats "know" it all. What did MA put up that game vs their regular season stats? I'm sure they didn't put up the stats against Tarboro, that they did against the mighty schedule they played. You normally don't put up the same stats against good teams! Football IQ sure is lacking there, buddy.

I think Shelby Lion is little pissed at his team for all the penalties and turnovers they've had this year. It will cost them against good teams.

I did some research on MA vs Thomasville last night, and this is what I found. Mount Airy was more competitive after 2009.
From 2009 to 2014, they played as non-conference games. All 1A

2010 Mount Airy Lost 14 Thomasville 21
2011 Mount Airy Win 23 Thomasville 7
2012 Mount Airy Win 21 Thomasville 14
2013 Mount Airy Lost 7 Thomasville 14

Playoff game 4, the Bears loses.
1987 Mount Airy lost to Thomasville 0-28, Maybe 2A

TD, Thomasville started playing Mount Airy as early as 1927, and played ten times from 1927-1991. We were 2-8 against you guys during that time.

They beat a good Draughn team 35-0 just to name 1. Your delusional to say they didnt put points up against good teams. In last game against Tarboro MA held them to 67 total yards and MA had 337 yards .....to me that is shutting a team down. Tarb hasn't ever been shut down like that to my knowledge. Score was 21-3. Not sure you know knowledge of the game Leroy! Your saying MA hasn't scored against good opponent's is dumb.

Sorry my research seemed to drop off some after 1987 and I stopped and went to bed. Thank you for your input. I had it Thomasville 6 to 4 games when I gave up, but I think after 1987, down to the 1960s I found no games they played or missed something. Can you fill us in on those years and scores between 1927-1991 ? I will see what else I can find also.

Our ADMs are on the lower end of the 3A, unlike Shelby was on the border of being 4A.
Hold on now. The same players? Are Dandy, Mason, and Gallimore still in high school?
MA the last 2 state championship runs played schools with 509-623-620-711 and MA had 577 in 22 and 614 in 23. So pretty much already playing teams there size. This year every school they have played were close to same size adm or more. Most schools a lot more and still 2 seed and 8-2. So stop with the stupid stuff.
Not sure why EW and STM cant be ok with saying CO CHAMPS? Its a good accomplishment. CO Champs is what they both are.
Yes they held MA to less than normal yards but MA still had over 200 one game and 300 last game. To hold Tarb to 67 total yards is freaking shutting a team down but hell you the football genius!
2 games to teams with 3 times the students.......isnt that one of yalls arguments MA playing teams there size now smh. In fact every team they have played this year is larger adms.
MA still put up good stats as Tarb were held to prob lowest points and yardage in 10+ years!
