Nothing but respect for Shelby! No one has said any different!Whoa wait a minute... A non-Shelby fan rolls up in here, gets the meathead Mt Airy panties so far in a bunch they start talking junk about what they could do to Shelby..
Then one of those goons wants to compare their scores with Tarboro saying we haven't played a team like that... Get the bong water, ferminted hops and meth bugs out from that region where the brain belongs... If we get the opportunity to play the Granite Bears they aint stopping Shelby, not a chance no how no way.... Now Martin will get his yards but we blow that team off the field and leave there with your girlfriends, your pride and the Pork Chop (Which is actually breaded spam) sammich

For the record Shelby Lion King, NO ONE from Mt Airy said one negative word about Shelby until Chipper Boy started his bashing of Mt Airy. Now if he is not a Shelby supporter, and he will not say who is team is, look at him for his "crap" about a team that just wants to play football at the highest levels, much like Shelby.

Won’t be Chase. However they do have a Division 1 .. LG and LS. She’s about 5’6 180 lbs. That’s the story I been told, her momma is reporting, she supposedly has several offers, been on front of hometown Sportspage, been interviewed on multiple podcasts. She’s also credited with causing QB concussion, due to blocking abilities. It was a fiasco she started at East Rutherford and ended up transferring because the East coach couldn’t see the talent. Now Otis has her playing on the OL.. I know absolutely nothing about the other team but will say Chase loses by 3 TDS.

Notice how the Tribune recognized only Starmount LOL..as conference champs.. it’s pretty simple.. but 6-1 Rams won the head to head but lost to someone EW beat.. so they share the title.. in most circles the conference title is shared..
Just guessing but I’d say Shelby, Reidsville, and Mt. Airy in that order. It has to be a town ( city) schools that haven’t been consolidated over the years.
The older schools like Asheville, Thomasville, Hickory, Newton-Conover, Grimsley to name some more.
Yes, what is currently Pisgah played as Canton, Clyde, Reynolds (African American) and Bethel High schools pre-1966. Tuscola would have been Waynesville, Fines Creek, and Crabtree pre-1966 so our two high schools only have 59 years of history. I don’t recall if Waynesville had a school that only African Americans went to. That was before my time.
