or wish you would have done.. Obvious or not, lets hear 'em.

One of the things I miss the most is mid-week baseball games on 25 cent hot dog night. Small crowds and you get to sit close to the field in the chair backs. I'm sure the majority of people do experience this in their time at MSU, but if you haven't, you should.

Would have gone out more Mon-Wed....

Looking back I hardly went out before Thursday night (for the usual Th, Fri, Sat Trifecta). The early week nights seemed to be more prone to random hookups because the girls let loose a lil more because not many people were out to see who they left with. Win-win situation.

In the grand scheme of things, knowing people is more important when looking for a job than the difference in a 3.5-4.0 GPA.

On the other hand, there weren't many place to go back then and it sometimes got boring. Only been gone 5 years, but there are a 17-ton more places to go now.

Might have majored in something easier so I could have had at least a couple minutes free time. Only kidding ... loved my career.

Take five minutes of your time and go get your picture made for the damn yearbook. Through 3.5 years, I never took the time to be in it. Fraternity yes, individual class pictures No.

Been more social or studied more. Went through half *** on both social and academic scene. Needed to have picked one and perfected it.

Maybe I would have gone to more than 50% of my classes or studied around an hour per week.

Live at least one year in the Cotton District. Spent most of college there, only lived there my senior year though. Try to find one of the few placed not owned by the Camps.

True dat man! Love my career too. But I definitely paid for it in college. I traded a away a lot of the college experience for engineering school.

It certainly required a lot of time. When I was there, the only televisions were in the dorm lounge, and it was usually full of people. I'm not anti-social, but the only things I watched when in school were the first moon landing and one episode of Star Trek.

I'd have tried to walk-on to the baseball team.
Might have made it, might not have made it, but I was scared to death of it affecting my GPA to the point of not getting into Veterinary school. Fear is a terrible thing.

Honestly, I wouldn't have been so damn picky If I could go back, I wouldn't have culled anything. Other than that, I'm good with my 5 years of actual school

Also - I REALLY wish I couldve taken the wine class. It wasn't available my last semester when I had room for it (Spring '05).

I was just thinking about this when I went to the Hump couple weeks ago.

I told my wife I wish I would have played more intramural football/basketball/softball. I played one season of each. I wish I would have hung out Sanderson more. I had more than my share of Ricks, Hunt Club, Mugshots, Dave's, Polliwogs, Bistro/State Theater, late nights, etc. Best time of my life, but, I should of made more time for competitive stuff.

Mostly, yes. It's just that some of us are older farts than some of the others. I'm probably one of the oldest, but I know of a couple (e.g., RCD) that are even more ancient.

The most enjoyable things sort of happen by accident, and you may not even appreciate them until years later. So it's hard to say what obscure things you should know. Maybe one thing that a poster has already mentioned: be sure and get your picture made for the yearbook. If you don't, you'll regret it down the road. And get a class ring.

Negative. It was July 1969, and I was in summer school for one of my co-op semesters. Watched it live. Was a co-op student at NASA and was almost out of school. I graduated the following spring.

Funny that we paid them to torture us, and then after we get out somebody pays us to enjoy life. I kinda like the way that works though ... the latter is much longer. School was a lot like basic training, but worth it in the long run.

This is probably harder now that there is construction, but we used to sneak into the stadium at night with watermelons and throw them off of the top of the stadium beside Barnes & Noble. Nice view too.

Mainly kept a log & more jobs on campus

Would have been nice to reflect on all the dumb **** I did each semester and $hitty/hard professors that I didn't do enough recon on before I signed up for said class. Inversely, would have been nice to develop stronger ties with some of the better tenured professors/teachers I had. Also would have had more jobs on campus, preferabbly around COBI/Allen for talent reasons. Would have traveled more with the basketball team, (can't blame me for not on football with end of Jackie and Croom.)

***This log would have included a list of soriorstitutes and generally looser girls that I hooked up with descriptors. If camera phones would have been more prevalent at the 2000-2005 era, that would have been nice. Instead I had a 17'ing brick Nokia and now a fuzzy memory. Maybe its better that way..**** I dont' know.

I enjoyed the Sunday afternoon baseball games most of all. Man, that was pure spring to me. 60 degrees, sunny, grills goin in the outfield, eating a hot dog and keeping score... and it is usually less crowded than Saturday games, so it felt a little different to me.

I guess I'm also different in that I busted it in school and now busting it in a career away from school. I miss school like crazy. Enjoy the hell out of it while you have the chance because you'll never get those days back. I wish I had lived a little more than I did while I was there.

Be an engineer with benefits - teach a physics lab...the one for non-engineers/science people. Trust me on this. You will rack your brain trying to explain to Buffy Sue Muffington how to plot things on an x-y plane. But be nice and funny about it and its a lot of fun later on.
