PGA Farmers Tourney finishes tomorrow due to NFL playoff games Sunday.

Does Sam Ryder hold off Jon Rahm, Homa and the other contenders?

Love Torrey Pines. Played the North Course years ago.

Thanks for starting this thread. Maybe just change title to 2023 Official Golf Thread after this weekend. Watched yesterday, the wind was brutal.

Rahmbo has been lights out. It’s hard to win back to back but he is on a different level.

Sam Ryder, Jon Rahm and Tony Finau in the final group.

Cold in the high 50’s temp with some wind.

Ryder birdies #1 to take a 4 shot lead over Rahm.

Put a few bucks on Rahm before the tourney, so I'm hopeful. Also took a Longshot boost of Rahm and Rory (in Dubai) both to win this weekend.

Really happy for Max. Another rising star on the tour. Thought the on course interview screwed him but great Sunday round. Expected Ryder to fold but Rahm?

Feel bad for Ryder. Especially after the interview with the Mom.

Homa is really good. Wonder how he'll fare in the majors this year.

It happens. Remembered Finau had his whole family out by the green but got caught. They still take home a big check.

In other golf news, Chris Gotterup has begun his time on the Korn Ferry Tour. It hasn't started well. He made the cut, finishing next to last in his 1st event and missed the cut in his 2nd. I believe he has 8 more events to meet certain benchmarks to stay so needs to turn it around quickly.

Young guys on the Tour almost always choke up a tourney or two before they thrive. It's like a right of passage. He'll learn from it.

You didn’t answer my question. What do manly men wear on the course? How tough can you be playing golf?

This is for you.

I believe another lLIV golfer in a text called him a cheat based on his past history. Nothing new happened that I know of.

Nope. It appears he fished a ball out of a tree that he claimed was his ball but replay shows the ball potentially embedding in a different tree. By claiming he found the ball in the tree he could take an unplayable drop. But if he couldn't find the ball, he would have to go back to tee and hit again. The allegation is he found a ball with a similar marking and claimed it was his.

This guy has had way too many situations where he's done shady things.

It wasn't just that Reed "identified his ball"... but it was in the wrong tree! Video clearly showed it.

So he identified his ball, took the unplayable lie, and dropped with only the one tree in his way. If he dropped by the correct tree, he would have had three trees to get past.

I think the worst thing about him, is that he doesn't think he is doing anything wrong.

Don’t mean to derail the thread but anyone have an opinion on Forsgate Country Club. I’m looking to join a club and recently moved about 20 mins away.

I don't like Reed but how can you blame him when he worked with an official. If it was any other golfer it would be a non-event. Rory supposedly took an illegal drop but no one is talking about that.

Banks courses are historically hell on seniors.

He lied to the official about his ball markings, official should have verified his markings on other balls.
