Giants new DT (A’Shawn Robinson) is a charachter that sould be fun to watch
As a HS senior he looked 35 and was a 5 star who went to Bama where he won NC.
Then he ended-up winning SB with Rams.
Dude has serendipity and shows-up in a lot of right places at the right time.
He liked the Giants vibe

“I’m just here to ball,” Robinson said. “I feel great. Happy to get this opportunity and to work. I have my lunch pail and I have my hard hat..I wanted to be a part of something special, so I decided to come here. I watched what happened last year, and they still have the same group of guys that they had.. It’s not just one side specifically — it’s all together. It takes a team effort.”

A’Shawn Robinson bringing blue-collar mentality to Giants’ run defense
A’Shawn Robinson must subscribe to the “Beast Mode” brand of thinking.

He can look like Kimbo Slice but his personality is described as "ebullient." He's happy warrior type who is a vocal leader

Interior D depth is a lot better now with Robinson and Nunez-Roches. Hopefully that keeps Lawrence and Williams a bit more fresh as the season progresses.

Hyatt and Hawkins really impressing in camp so far. Banks and JMS coming around. Could be a real nice haul.

Outside of JMS it's the 2nd string OL for the Giants. And outside of JMS the Giants are in serious trouble if any of them see serious PT.

I seriously recognized like three names on the offense. They really tried to avoid playing any starters.

Well the 2 OT's should have bags over their heads when they were in the sidelines. The were in Detroit so there should have been bags available.

If Evan Neal can play like his 1st quarter in the regular season things will look up for the OL.

Traded a 2024 7th to the Cardinals for former 1st rounder S/LB Isaiah Simmons. This is going to end up being a steal putting his talent and athleticism in Wink's D. Absolutely love Schoen!!

Just read a less then flattering report regarding his time in Ari.

But for a 7th rounder, it's worth it just for the depth. If you can recapture some upside, then yeah, potential steal.

I could see him take the role that Landon Collins filled last year. Almost a hybrid S-LB. For a 7th? Definitely.

He's one of the fastest LBs in game. AZ used him out of position all the time. It's going to take Wink a little time but I expect this to turn out great for the team.

Just read that they tried him at Safety, which is his preferred position.

Sounds like he is a bit of a tweener, but in certain packages that guy has a position.

Watching the replay on NFL Channel. There is no depth on the OL. This is a playoff team that could be derailed by couple of injuries.

Hope to see DeVito get through to the PS and become the #2 on a cheap rookie contract next year.

No one goes to the ground anymore in practice, that includes training camp.
When the mass humanity of bodies, legs and arms occurs at full speed it’s like a bomb goes off.

Makes sense.
I remember running, lifting and doing drills all summer to get in great shape.
Then after a few days of live contact I would be a sore mess.
It wasn't just the contact either - the stabilzers get used so much more.
That's a reason I've never been crazy about relying on helmets and shells instead of full contact.
I read Schaino say they are not that different and my monocle fell into my soup

"Biggest move: The Giants ultimately didn't have Cole Beasley, Jamison Crowder, David Sills V or Collin Johnson make the 53-man roster. That was one way for it all to work. Beasley will return in some capacity in the coming days, but the biggest move on cut day was the Giants activating WR Wan'Dale Robinson from the physically unable to perform list and putting him on the roster. The second-round pick is returning from a torn ACL suffered last year. His presence gives the Giants a lot of receivers who are at their best out of the slot. -- Jordan Raanan

Acquired: OLB Boogie Basham (Bills)

Waived/released: QB Tommy DeVito, WR Collin Johnson, RB Jashaun Corbin, RB James Robinson, WR Kalil Pimpleton, TE Ryan Jones, OT Tyre Phillips, G Jack Anderson, G Wyatt Davis, DT Ryder Anderson, DT Kobe Smith, OLB Habakkuk Baldonado, OLB Tomon Fox, LB Ray Wilborn, LB Dyontae Johnson, LB Darrian Beavers, DT Kevin Atkins, NT Donovan Jeter, CB Gemon Green, DB Darren Evans, DB Zyon Gilbert, S Alex Cook, LS Cameron Lyons

Terminated: OLB Oshane Ximines, DE Tashawn Bower, DT Brandin Bryant, CB Amani Oruwariye, OT Korey Cunningham, OT Julien Davenport, OL Sean Harlow, WR Cole Beasley, WR David Sills, WR Jamison Crowder, WR Jaydon Mickens"

Some improvements definitely. I still worry about the O line, Neal must improve for them to build on last years success. He will have his work cut our for him week 1 for sure. The guard play has to get better as well. A rookie starting center will have some growing pains too.

And this is why I now root only for the Jersey and not the players. College football is become this and I hate it.

Center John Michael Schmitz will be a god one
He's a big center at 6'4" but he plays low well
He took an extra CV-19 year and played a lot of games over the years (He's 24 now)
As a highly regarded AA I'm surprised he lasted until round 2

Not good at all. Typical of the Giants though as thy have been the most injured NFL team since 2009. Late additions to the injury report never are good.

A "here we go again" vibe. Hopefully Bellinger's healthy.
