Now, this one makes no sense to me. The Jets were getting trade interest for him before the deadline and they were trying to move Cook.
This is as bad as releasing Flacco and later trading to get him back…

I say the Jets ONLY because they have six quarters of football before Saturday.
I had a bad feeling going into the weekend that I wasn’t going to see a touchdown from either team. (Based on the trend that was a pretty obvious prediction!)

Dolphin fan so a bit bias but I have to say I never laughed so hard when the announcer said…..”Right there that one play is the epitome of the Jets season” regarding the 99 yard pick 6 ”Hell Mary”
If Rodgers is with the Jets next season, the coaching staff will be back. Would be shocked if that's not the case.
The problem with the Hail Mary was that Boyle was forced to throw it a second or so too early. His receivers had not yet positioned themselves in the end zone. None of them made much of a play on the ball, they may not have even located the ball. The Miami player, who was of course playing the ball, easily picked it off and was off to the races, with only a bunch of lineman, a QB, and a blocking RB to beat.
Miami blocked the play really well.
I was very impressed with Garrett Wilson on the play. He was just arriving in the end zone, near one sideline, when the ball was picked. The Miami player took off down the other sideline. Wilson had to sprint about 120 yards to try to catch him, after having just sprinted 50. He very nearly did.

OL is a turnstile. Wasted a great D - was listening to pregame and one of the McCourty brothers said the defense has played more than a game and a half more than the chiefs d d/t time of possession.

I didn't think of that until I read this post and rewatched the play. You're 100% correct, Garrett Wilson gave some effort.
Three "franchise" QBs drafted high in the first round in the last decade and a half. One is out of the league, the other two are backups, and one of them may soon be out of the league as well. The Jets are where QB careers not only go to die, they are strangled in the crib.
Hackett should have been fired already however you can't do it because of Rodgers.
Douglas and Saleh should also be let go...such underachievers....

As a 60 year Jet fan who got up at 3:00 AM to watch the game I did something that I never do.......
I turned the game off at half time and went back to sleep.

Agree - at the very least the OL coach.
It’s bad enough when veteran receivers can’t catch the ball… but when they drop one of only a few decent passes that are thrown because the quarterback has no time to set his feet, that’s an even bigger problem.
Not saying Boyle is all world but watching the game yesterday should have at vindicated Wilson at least a little bit.

The only saving grace to the Jet's OL is that it is better then the OL of the other team that plays at ML Stadium.
One stat that sums up this offensive wreck.
The Jets have more safeties (2) in the first quarter of games this year than TDs (1).
