I thought the kid played pretty well all year. He did not give you the running option that prior osu qbs had but he stood in the pocket well and delivered the ball. Wonder who day brings in or is there some better option on the depth chart.

Forget about the running imo, CJ Stroud wasn't the best runner but I think he was a better passer and more accurate. Probably a better decision maker too.

I often say here most qbs have enough legs/mobility to get things done and keep the chains moving. They don't need to be a game breaker with their feet or big play runner that's just a bonus. The 2 most important things IMO for a qb are passing ability and quick decision making skills.

The OSU transfers surprise me. I mean that is a perennial contender. Maybe they think Day is leaving for the NFL? Is Day overhauling his roster in light of 3 straight losses to UM? Did the NIL $$$ dry up? Time will tell.

Ohio state lands 20 four stars each year. None of the guys on that list are gamebreakers by osu standards.

Serious question - not just for Schiano and crew - how is a staff possibly supposed to keep up with all this? The number of portal entries is mind boggling. Big teams, small teams, powerhouses, teams that stink. Coaches must work 16 hour days.

I'm sure they have support staff that looks at all the entries etc..There are GMs and such things now in college sports as well. They don't have the power of pro team GMs but are there in the sense of helping with personnel etc..

I generally post the tweets from mainstream CFB media because I figure if they're tweeting they might be players of some note but there are a ton more that go in than they tweet about.
