Withdrew from this week’s event in TX with 2 holes to play yesterday. No details yet on cause of death. He won twice on the PGA Tour.

Horrible news. Life really is precious.

PGA Statement from his parents

Statement on behalf of Eric and Terry Murray:
We have spent the last 24 hours trying to come to terms with the fact that our son is gone. It’s surreal that we not only have to admit it to ourselves, but that we also have to acknowledge it to the world. It’s a nightmare.
We have so many questions that have no answers.
But one.
Was Grayson loved? The answer is yes. By us, his brother Cameron, his sister Erica, all of his extended family, by his friends, by his fellow players and – it seems – by many of you who are reading this. He was loved and he will be missed.
We would like to thank the PGA TOUR and the entire world of golf for the outpouring of support. Life wasn’t always easy for Grayson, and although he took his own life, we know he rests peacefully now.
Please respect our privacy as we work through this incredible tragedy, and please honor Grayson by being kind to one another. If that becomes his legacy, we could ask for nothing else.
Thank you.

Very sad. He seems to have struggled with mental health and depression for a while.

I just read Stan Van Gundy’s wife had committed suicide last year. He was on a radio show discussing it.

Folks, this is a sad situation. Let's keep the politics and other stuff out of this thread.

Still a few crazy posts in this thread. #7 for example.

Money and fame do not buy internal happiness. Such a tragic event.

Sad, suicide is something that destroys more than the person who takes their own life.
It makes those that care wonder if they could have done something to prevent it and eats at them until they come to understand they couldn't do anything to stop it.

Seems like the young man had some issues in the past that might have some bearing on
his death

Got COVID and he lost smell and taste although those senses likely returned for him (loss of those senses is due to impact of virus on the brain and not the nose).
