I will guarantee you that someone...a relative, friend or somebody will now come out and say there were signs that this guy was very troubled for some time and no one followed up. It seems it happens every damn time.

Your prediction is right on ... that's exactly what's happening this morning. I suppose people are afraid to report such things for fear of being accused of the dastardly deed of "profiling".

I know there are a lot of worried parents and grandparents this morning. And sending the kids to school Monday morning will be very hard to do. Here in Huntsville, there have been rumors (and supposedly substantiated to a degree) of an upcoming shooting being discussed on social media. Over 1000 students stayed home yesterday, and some in days before that. Can't blame them.

Yep it seems like it is ALWAYS mental health. If th opportunists like Costas would focus their attention on this issue maybe something would get done. Guns have been around forever in this country but this stuff is just now starting. Why people blame guns is stupid because that part of the social equation hasn't changed. I'll go ahead and say it. When you look at culture the value of life has diminished. Abortion and the decline of religion are 2 important factors but those never get blamed. No the evil media types view these trajedies as opportunities to ban guns. It's sick. Another cause; how about looking at the breakdown of the family. It's not the NRA or the 2nd Ammdment that's causing that to spread through our culture. But nowadays criticism is viewed as "intolerant" and "who are you to judge" so nobody says anything is wrong. Mental health issues and assistance fall on the duty of families; it's hard to spot these problems if there aren't any actual families anymore. 17 the anti-gun opportunistic fascists.
