Admitting that you don't know dick about long range hunting would suffice, but it seems you aren't capable of that.

In his book, Kyle spoke of the round, saying, “I used the .300 Win Mag for most of my kills. It’s an excellent all-around cartridge, whose performance allows for superb accuracy as well as stopping power. It shoots like a laser. Anything from 1,000 yards and out, you’re just plain nailing it.”

The man's own words...

This is from an interview in 2012...

SHB: Favorite shotgun for deer hunting?
CK: Deer hunting, I use my GA Precision .308 Gladius. Looking to get a .270 so not to mess up too much of the meat. Bird hunting, I use my old Remington 870. Looking to try the new Beretta shotguns. For hog hunting, I use my Craft AR. It is a nail driver.
SHB: Favorite sniper rifle?

CK: Overseas, it was the .338 lapua. It is accurate out to 2300 yards, and lighter than the .50. Here at home I mainly use my GA Precision for all my shooting. It’s accurate out to 1100 yards. It’s been great for all the courses I run.

Don’t......

The 25-06 is not "better" than the 6.5 Creedmoor. The heaviest factory ammo available for the 25-06 is a 120 bullet which will drift more in the wind than the 147 grain 6.5 Creedmoor bullets. There are things the 25-06 does well, but to say it is better than the 6.5 is really a matter of application. Within 200 yards or so, yes, the 25-06 does some things better than the 6.5. With heavier bullets at longer ranges, the 6.5 leaves the 25-06 behind.

Don't you normall hunt in the woods? Seems like in 400 yards between you and the deer there'd be a lot of trees.
