Liberal policies destroyed AC.
AC used to be the hot spot and liberals destroyed it. Capitalists built AC. Once the capitalists build something the socialists then show up and want free housing, diversity and access to the schools. Once the socialists get the freebies they destroy the neighborhood with crime, litter and grafitti.
Ac is he only shore town where I have ever seen hookers and drug dealers.
What did the locals ever invest? Do they even clean up their own trash? Ac is the only shore town where you see hookers.

When one group of people needs a different group of people to fix the problems then it is obvious the first group of people is the problem. The second group usually has nothing to gain. They can be successful without carrying the first group on their backs.
Try Pancho’s, right next door, for some of the best authentic Mexican food you can find.
If you want to fix Atlantic city then eliminate low income housing. The lower class can go back to Camden where the belong. The upper middle and upper class capitalists would then be standing in line to get in on the ground floor.

The blueprint for a great shore town is already there. Copy cape may, stone harbor, ocean city or any of the great towns up the coast. In the 70s the liberal politicians in Atlantic city adopted the the exact opposite policies used in great shore towns. The solution is to do the opposite.
I still tend to go to AC several times a year for conferences and to gamble. I have a blast each time, usually getting dinner at different places. Condos seem to be super cheap but no one is buying them. I wish it would pick up. Idk that buying now would be a wise decision.

I worked with some people who invested in AP property starting in the early 80’s. There were at least 4 cycles before the gentrification was successful.
I hope it takes. But that is one corrupt town. As you said in the above post. Took multiple renditions and many developers to turn around Asbury. And that’s a town that is a true destination, has a beach and has history.
There was talk of a ferry to downtown NYC back in early 2000’s that would have been great but it never came to fruition.
been to lot of places down there, not this one, will give it a shot thanks. usually spend a night during HS States weekend and couple nights for opening weekend of NCAA tournament.
There is very much a beach. Maybe not the nicest, but alas. Haven't been in that area in a while but you can image search, it even looks half nice.
The other towns along the bay have absolute wild prices so it's only a matter of time. I saw a townhouse listed in the Highlands for a million.

Big difference between the highlands and Keansburg. But you are right Keansburg from a geographical perspective should be a desirable location. But it has been neglected and corrupt for a very long time.
True, but these are things that could have been said for Hudson County, Asbury, Long Branch, even New Brunswick to one degree or another.
Eventually people will want a deal and you can get a relative one there at the moment. I think some people just also like the view or laying out in the sand.
Agreed. And many of the names listed above took many years. I looked at keyport 8-10 years ago and missed some opportunities. I hope Keansburg takes off but I would be cautious.
Yea knew guys that were buying up houses and condos in and around keyport starting early 2000’s. They were mostly underwater until 2012-13. When it moved it moved quickly. Missed it when I tried to get in 2014-15
Nice downtown with good restaurants and easy access to trains and highways for commuters.
Longport is certainly not inexpensive. Need at least a million to start
