The Shed? Really? Never trust a website named after potato verbs.
Let's hear the real answer, SPSers.

We came down a few years ago to go to the beach, and I can attest that some of the best ribs I've had were bought from the fella with a smoker outside the Chevron on 45 at Macon.Random black guy setting up in a grocery store parking lot towing a grill made out of a propane tank.
lol, no… The Texaco station less than a mile down 57 from The Shed has better food…
I got you.The McRib isn’t available right now, so no clue
That' was Al's BBQ truck when I was at State. I think he put two kids through MSU that way. Best sauce I've ever had.Random black guy setting up in a grocery store parking lot towing a grill made out of a propane tank.
Magnolia Blues and Bowies are in Brookhaven. Both are very good BBQ places. The best BBQ places I have ever found are usually off-the-beaten-track places that are not somewhere that the masses tend to highly recommend. For example, I found a place in South Mississippi named Bowies that is very small and very good. I have also run into the whole flash and no substance. Actually, I found that in the same town with a place called Magnolia something. I honestly do not remember the whole name it was so bad. It was over-priced and awful, much like Pig and Pint. So I really find the smaller places that are off the beaten path tend to be the best. This is not to offend anyone. These thoughts are just based on personal experiences. Also, and for the record, Sacred Ground is very good.
Al's was legit, I liked it better than Sonny'sThat' was Al's BBQ truck when I was at State. I think he put two kids through MSU that way. Best sauce I've ever had.
If you can’t see his BBQ is better, you’re blind.Sylvester's
But we just had this thread not too long ago
Agree to disagree on the one, but the little Bowies place I thought was very cool and good.Magnolia Blues and Bowies are in Brookhaven. Both are very good BBQ places.
Looking at their menu, those are about the going rate for top-tier bbq. Hell, many of the better places in TX are knocking the door on $40/lb for brisket.Sacred Ground was good and a cool location.
overpriced as hell though
They are over that number. Out here (DFW ware), most are $22-$24 PER HALF POUND of brisket.Looking at their menu, those are about the going rate for top-tier bbq. Hell, many of the better places in TX are knocking the door on $40/lb for brisket.
I believe it. I checked Franklin's before posting just out of curiosity, they're at $39/lb. Leroy and Lewis are at $40They are over that number. Out here (DFW ware), most are $22-$24 PER HALF POUND of brisket.
We were working in Homestead , Fl , shortly after Andrew hit, there was a Cuban with a bbq trailer set up, that dude had some of the best bbq i have ever had.The deal with BBQ, the more likely you are to being a crime victim when acquiring it, the better the BBQ.
If you see a 65 year old black man smoking pall malls in a blue coveralls cut to short sleeve length, wearing a ratty baseball cap tending the smoker, you know it's going to be good.
Memphis BBQ sucks now. I would have agreed with you pre 2020.Memphis BBQ in Horn Lake
Didn't Andrew obliterate Homestead AFB?We were working in Homestead , Fl , shortly after Andrew hit, there was a Cuban with a bbq trailer set up, that dude had some of the best bbq i have ever had.
Mag Blues filet is damn good. The BBQ is not the highest quality, agreed.Agree to disagree on the one, but the little Bowies place I thought was very cool and good.
Yep, thats where we were working.Didn't Andrew obliterate Homestead AFB?
This is your answer.Random black guy setting up in a grocery store parking lot towing a grill made out of a propane tank.
I don’t eat enough BBQ around the state to proclaim who the best is. But I was introduced to Tommy’s 2-3 years ago while hunting in the south delta. If I’m in or around Vicksburg and need to eat, I’m going to Tommy’s.. Very good.Tommy's in Vicksburg is some of the best around. It's Texas style with mainly salt & pepper so different from most Mississippi BBQ I've had. Haven't made it to Sacred Ground, but really want to get there soon.
Never had their filet. I am sure it is good. But if you are a bbq place, and your best item is a steak that is really saying you know you are not good at regular bbq. Just my opinion.Mag Blues filet is damn good. The BBQ is not the highest quality, agreed.
This is the answer, but there is a risk. No handwashing stations out there. It’s some of the best bbq on planet earth but there is about a 15% chance you **** your pants too. I have eaten a ton of it and had 2 “episodes”Random black guy setting up in a grocery store parking lot towing a grill made out of a propane tank.
