Doc Rivers would likely cost more too. This is just someone guessing, who knows if it’ll be her or not. If they think Doc is worth it, they can pay him but most likely it’s going to be more than her.
I realize what's her name/never heard of her played hoops at Providence, and good on her. My point is that it is nice to have the perspective of former professionals in the league they are covering and not there because they are saving the company money. I'm not upset at any of this. It's par for the course. I have not watched the NBA since the days of Michael Jordan with the Bulls. The game seems to have changed and does not capture my interest.

They would be better but they’d also cost more and that’s the issue. Adequate enough for the right price is likely the driver for many of these staffing decisions. It’s whatever the management sees as the best value for money proposition.

It’s not just this, look at the writers strike and possible actors strike. These media companies are bleeding money because of their streaming services and they need to cut costs wherever they can. I tend to think they won’t want to give a lot up in the negotiations. I wouldn’t be surprised to see more unscripted type shows and cheaper produced shows in the future, international stuff too who knows. You know Korean shows are the most watched shows in the world. I was quite surprised when I read that.
