Braun made the best of his chances and deserves the job
Pat Fitzgerald took the fall because he was HC and was the obvious choice .
Going 1-11 last season wasn't the reason, just made making Pat the scapegoat easier.

True, but it the HC is responsible for the program. Sherrone Moore must have known as much about stolen signals as JH too.
Didn’t Braun just join the staff this past summer. Not like he was an entrenched member of staff.
Not arguing that. PF should have known that was going on: if his assistants weren't reporting it to him than that was a whole different issue. Regardless, though, the assistants were much closer to the action than he was.
Dave has done a great job this year.
But even though the program had two bad seasons in a row, ( last year terrible)
Fitzgerald had built a good program there and won the B1G western division 2 years ago
Braun took over a solid program , but one in disarray because of a scandal that ousted it's HC
He made the most of that opportunity and deserves to run the program.
All the assistants kept on helped him to get the most out of his players and overcome
how Fitzgerald was fired for what probably everyone on the coaching staff knew what was going on with the players.

Braun was not on staff until the summer of '23. How was he supposed to know?
