Buying some new tires for the truck and was wondering if anyone has experience with bf all terrains or cooper stt's. Coopers are more aggressive but we have some spots on our land that only a tire like that could make it through when it washes out.

I've had 2 sets of Nitto's Terra Grappler or whatever the all terrain version is. I was happy with the first set but the second set was crap. I currently have a set of Hancooks that I really like. Lots of grip on wet roads and a smooth ride.
I've had the Nittos and their a decent tire, but I just bought a set of General Grabber AT 2. Same tread pattern as the BFG but much cheaper and they have a 60k mile tread warranty.
I'll 2nd BF Goodrich AT..bought a set for my truck...

Had the cooper AT and they weren't bad, but if you wanna really step up get the bfg mud terrain. It's an unbelievable tire. I've NEVER had a problem getting by with those.

Good topic was actually going to get some this morning myself. I've been running Firestone Destination A/Ts. Thinking the BF Goodrich A/T's they are $900 for 265/70/17 at Tire Depot in Flowood. Anyone know of anywhere cheaper?
Between the BF goodrich and some Nitto Terra Grapplers $732. Recommendations? Is the BF Goodrich worth the extra $170. I also go commute down 55 daily will these tires do the trick for me with about 90 - 95% highway use

I got bf goodrich at's at sears in meridian paid around 900 something. 265/85/16 on my tacoma. I'm on the highways alot and love them. Average about 35k miles a year. Nice ride and don't have to worry when I get off the pavement.

BF All terrains are pretty good if you are doing a lot of highway driving, but their off road performance leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. They look nice, but I just don't like them. I have loved every set of Coopers I've ever had. Coopers all the way.

I buy mine at NTB. Take a printout from Tire Rack and they'll come close to matching the price, most likely. If not, you can order from Tire Rack and have them drop-shipped at NTB for installation. I'd rather buy from NTB though if the price is anywhere close because they would honor the warranty.

Free shipping and paypal makes for a quick checkout. They were cheaper at discouttiredirect than at tirerack.com. Local tire man is gonna mount and balance them for $50
