Kensington was a modern day Mayberry until The Devil's Lettuce was legalized, right?

Weird, PA is the only Northeastern state without legal weed....and the only one WITH an open air drug market.

But who needs facts when you have Reefer Madness.

I hear if you play "Louie Louie" at the open air drug market Karl Marx rises from the grave and turns everyone into a hippie.

LAW AND ORDER!***

*** For everyone else, not us, don't be silly!

It was a great week though last week for law and order in NYC and LI.

And yesterday was a great day for Jacksonville and Colorado Springs, bigly things happening there.
So true.

Funny but true…to some point. Look , I’m not anti weed smoking. I am however concerned we will be following the outlines of Portland , Oregon…San Francisco California, Philadelphia, Pa. .

Yep all that legal weed in Philly has really ruined them.

Oh.

Funny, Denver is never mentioned in these discussions, or Phoenix, or Boston, or you know, the entire state of Montana.

Almost like there's some weird agenda on going on.

A store named Puffin will open at the corner of Church and George (about two blocks away from Earth and Ivy) in the next month or so.

Two all-recreational cannabis stores within a few blocks before school returns in September.

It's funny to me that NJ high school kids would then elect to go to another state where they'll pay more money for a lesser education AND get less freedom.

No , the real question is how old RU? I’m old enough to understand if an adult over age 18 wants to smoke, snort , or shoot up … be my guest. . . This push to promote drug use to young people is bound to backfire. Sorry if that offends you. If you are going to tell all kids will try it anyway then you would be wrong …very wrong.

Do liquor stores draw criminals into the area?
Liquor has no street value. Cannabis has a high street value. Google cannabis store robbed and you will see that stores get robbed every day. I don't mind that pot heads have a place to buy weed, but have the store open in another town like Princeton. Better yet is only have mail order weed with one day delivery. Why are brick and mortar stores needed.

The store opening in my town is very close to the high school. I think that factored in where to open the store to maximize customers.

Is it wrong to promote alcohol use to young people the way the NFL and all major sports do many being in bed with the alcohol manufacturers?

Just trying to make sure we’re comparing apples to apples here since it’s widely known that cannibus use is far less harmful to people and alcohol is the legal standard in this country?

Banks, liquor, and convenience stores are robbed every day as well.

Cannabis stores are not exclusive to being robbed at high rates.

Brick and mortar stores are needed for a variety of reasons still though as generations continue to shift you will see less and less of them. Dispensary’s though are much more about convenience than anything else. It’s the same reason why people can order booze online for cheaper prices but still find themselves at the local liquor store on a Friday afternoon to start the weekend.

I very much doubt that. Likely they are there because the rent is reasonable.

I’m gonna give you a little insider knowledge from someone who has smoked pot for the last 20 years starting in high school. Kids in high school have always had the easiest access to weed. I’m not even kidding, when buddies and I would come home for holiday breaks in college and needed to pickup, we would ask younger siblings still in high school for a plug.

Kids in high school have always had access to weed. Genuinely if you could magically transform yourself into a 17 year old again for a day I PROMISE you you could find some in any public high school in America or from someone from school right after at a spot.

The idea of a dispensary marketing to kids by opening up nearby is simply another satanic panic from folks who do not understand the subject

Philly was f***ed long before legal weed which still isn't fully legal as it's only decriminalized in Philly.

You know that marijuana is still illegal in PA, right?
I live in the great Garden State… Philadelphia was once a place of Brotherly Love… isn’t that the saying? Now they love drugs , guns and scrapple for breakfast.

He's too much of a mental midget to know that, hence him writing like a serial killer with a 7th grade writing level.
If you would like to ever compare “ mental midget “ theory let me know ? See when you directly attempt to attack me you prove more than you think. To accuse me of “ writing like a serial killer” you are going way over the top. BTW: we try to keep it at a simple level for the educable tool that you appear to be.

Bob heard they are giving out free samples for the under 18 crowd.
You make a stupid opinion here. Let me know if you approve of say of your 11-12 year old smoking a bowl with you ? If you have or ever have kids. Thinking changes drastically as time evolves. When that child under 18 begins to try harder drugs ( maybe / perhaps not) you will think back hard at ridiculing. Hey , I hope they open up another 6-8 more legal weed shops on Easton Ave. And don’t be concerned about Pa. Fetterman will figure it out soon.

Uhhhh they threw snowballs at Santa clause 35 years ago.. it hasn’t been a ‘loving’ city in my lifetime

I passed a park bench the other day that read ‘Welcome to Baltimore, The Greatest City in the World’. Because I saw it on a park bench does that make it true?

I smoked a joint with my dad on vacation when I was 15, again when I was 16, 17, and 18.

I graduated with honors from Rutgers in 2011, I make six figures and bought my house at 26.

I have never once in my life tried or ever had the desire to do ‘harder’ drugs. The idea that cannabis is a ‘gateway drug’ is one of the biggest myths of all time perpetuated by the DARE program and Hearst broadcasting prior to that.

With all due respect, your responses are spoken with so much ignorance on the subject that it’s hard to read.

I don’t know the first thing about repairing a car. I know nothing about the subject and defer to my mechanic for his advice as he’s around cars all day and constantly works on them. This is you when it comes to cannabis, except you actually feel you have a right to a say in the matter despite the obvious reality that you have no experience whatsoever with it

Why isn't prostitution legalized? Then we could get some weed, pick up a pizza and get a date all in the same mini-mall. And NJ would make a ton more in taxes.

Suggest you read the NIH article today on the effects to the young smoking marijuana . Most impacted are those under 18 who use it everyday or multiple times say weekly. To think this is all good and the promotion of a drug contrasted to alcohol is not recommended it appears . When you do think about it …do you like the possibility of something with a bad outcome? A finality you can’t change.

And your point is? We are talking about something that is going to pose a problem. Did you read the NIL article? Though I’m not an NIL fan… sort of disturbing to parents who never believed marijuana legal or illegal and being of age or not could be a component of higher suicide rates. We are just putting gas on the fire it would appear. Do you have children? Or are you a 21-45 year old?

Man if you’re this concerned with the mental effects of cannabis use in children you REALLY need to look at those same effects caused by alcohol, energy drinks and nicotine… Heck the reality is Energy Drinks are WAAAY worse for a kids health than cannabis use, both mentally and physically.

I swear the ONLY reason this new wave of satanic panic around weed is starting to peak its head around us because our former president and some of his fellow similar thinking politicians have actually suggested weed plays a role in all these mass shootings…. It’s a hysterical analogy out on by the pure ignorant (I recommend looking up the mass shooting numbers in the Netherlands, home of the ‘Cannabis Cup’ if you need any proof that cannabis use and mass shootings have zero correlation).

My god man, just stop talking on the subject. This is like hearing a truck driver try to explain quantum physics. You are completely out of your element and ignorant on the subject

Yeah but putting a weed store in Bedminster NJ or Kinnelon NJ gives the area a shady look… by putting 3 in downtown NB on Albany St. or Easton Ave. the world is a better place. Sounds logical based upon some of the comments earlier. When they put one outside the governors compound then that would be great.

Yup, the world will be a better place. I love the ‘shady look’ defense as it holds zero legal merit, it’s literally watching a person cry about not getting their way while offering no legal rationale, it’s a full blown adult temper tantrum

I hear the same bulls*t from some of the woman in my hometown because a dollar general was built.

Again, it is PAINFULLY obvious you have no experience with the subject and are simply regurgitating ideas from the 80’s and 90’s that you heard about and decided to dig your head in.

Honestly rather than asking you again to stop talking why don’t you keep going! Let’s see just how ridiculous you are willing to make yourself sound! You’ve already confirmed you are a fool on the subject so let’s just see how outrageous you will get knowing you just can’t help yourself but respond even when you are dead wrong on a subject and have however many fellow posters re-iterating this

They get robbed because of an idiotic federal law that forces them to deal in cash.

There was a bipartisan deal to change it but Turtle and the gang filibustered.
