Driving under the influence of cough medicine can also impair your ability to drive. It's just silly to hear people always bringing that up in regards to pot as if we've ever had legions of stoners crashing cars.
A car radio can also impair your ability to drive.
it's amazing to me that some here actually think that all of those fans are walking to Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, or Phish concerts.

Glad you agree weed impairs one’s ability to drive a car.
So does eating a Bic Mac, texting, and looking at your radio while driving.
All have caused injuries and death.
I’m assuming you wouldn’t recommend trying any of them to your teenage grandchildren if you have any, or anyone you care about.
I’m not against smoking weed, I did it hundreds of times, I’m not against legalization of it.
I just hope everyone is careful

Idk the auto body post on the previous page
I’ve made several posts addressing inexperienced weed users and driving.
I’m not going to argue with the realities of a body shop owner.
I’m old but I have two teenage daughters.
I don’t think it’s radical on my part to insist they don’t drive high or with anyone high

I never weed and drive, these days.

Back in the day, though? (And by "the day" I mean the 70s) Damn, I'd be drivin' out there higher than a mo fo. Never wrecked anything. Sat through a few green lights, though.

It was always my personal experience - and just my personal experience - that alcohol was WAY more debilitating.

And don't even get me started about Quaaludes. Good god...

Back in my day I had a Mustang SVO with a stick.

The rule of thumb for my limit was if I couldn’t work the clutch/gas/brake combo I knew I had too much and no driving.

Let’s talk about young people you love, not yourself.
Pretty sure you’d recommend not driving stoned.
But who knows, maybe I’m the nutcase and pretty much everyone doesn’t give a **** about stoned driving

Of course not. My point is that people have been smoking and driving for a long long time and legalization really didn’t change anything.

I dunno… if everyone was all that careful, they probably wouldn’t have so many grandchildren.

That’s an amazing, ridiculous response.
Weed impairs driving, do you dispute that?
If no one ever drove again high and no accidents ever occurred for the remainder of man kind…it wouldn’t change the fact
I will never understand the idiots Zapp that could care less that we , along with our family and friends , have to share the road with impaired drivers whether it be pot or alcohol. People get killed. Are they too simple minded to understand or are they heartless and selfish and just don’t care ?

correct per my understanding. You'll have something in west awwell too.
Yup, an indoor grow facility a few doors down. Not really an issue imo. The commercial license will likely end up on 31 in the ringoes part of west amwell lol

my understanding it was going top be on 518 heading towards L Ville but still in W. Amwell. The Pine Creek thing was secondary and a much bigger hurdle as I understand it.

The corner of 518 and rock road is the indoor grow facility, they’ll be a wholesaler, no retail. I’m rooting for the pine creek one to fail, those hurdles are warranted

What were qualudes like? I’ve wanted to try since Wolf of Wallstreet

I was at the apartment of a fellow Airman in '83, partying with coworkers and assorted local women of some casual morality. The usual drinking and smoking, nothing really out of the ordinary.

I'm sitting on the couch. He walks over, holds out his hand and says, "here, take this".

Okay, so pills and I have a historically positive relationship, so... I just took it and then asked what it was. "Quaalude."

Some time later - I had zero idea how much time - I realize I have to be on the job at 0700 and should probably go home.

I couldn't get off the couch. I had zero command of any of the muscles required to get off the couch. It took a good couple of hours to figure that out and get to my car.

Once there, I couldn't figure out how to make it go. I got past that pretty quickly and set on my way.

I got home two hours later.

It was a five mile trip.

I have no idea what happened during those two hours.

Yeah. That's Quaaludes. I don't *not* recommend them (and they're no longer made / sold in the US) but it's the sort of thing you want to do when you have no place to go for a couple of days, sorta like acid.

Been past the Zen Leaf on Rt 1 in Lawrenceville a few times. The line is around the corner of the building every time.

Oh, btw - at that time, in those days, we were totally and completely responsible for the defense of US airspace. So... we had that goin' for us. Which was nice.

Worked at the Price Club in Edison while in college.

Went to a Dead show at Giants Stadium with a coworker's daughter. Very cool chick who went to URI.

While there I was either sprayed with something or it was what I smoked but I remember doing similar like the bolded...driving down Vineyard Road to get to Rte. 1. The telephone poles just kept coming and coming. The road without end.

I would say not being able to work the brake, clutch, gas pedal combo is good indicator of not trying to drive a 2500 pound piece of machinery 😊

Side note - I had to get my tailgate vehicle (2017 Golf Sportwagen) serviced last week. Took it in on Friday, picked it up Saturday morning.

When I went to get it, I noticed the entire service department reeked of weed. And the kid who took care of me was completely wasted.

That would trouble me, if I encountered that. Same as if they were drinking or otherwise not working entirely sober.

So true. I don't recall them ever lasting a couple of days though. One would have to be crazy to get behind the wheel of a vehicle after partaking. As you said, sorta like acid. Some of my friends back in the day unfortunately did so and every one of them crashed their cars. I was always the more sensible one. 'Ludes only if we weren't going anywhere.
Herb on the other hand I always thought made me a better driver...particularly when chilling on the ride home after a long night's work. Or taking the convertible out on the highway during the summer with the tape deck cranked way up. Not blitzed...just a nice buzz.
Those were the days.

Yeah but imagine the attention to detail...
( yeah that's wrong)!
But there'd be potato chip crumbs everywhere when I pick up the car? 😃

Being hyper-focused that way is great when listening to music or having sex or whatever. Not so great when someone's in a busy automotive shop dealing with constant interruptions in the midst of following precise instructions in a shop manual.

I'd actually be a lot more okay with it if it was a small one or two person shop (with them being slightly stoned, I mean, but never drunk).
