Agree- any type of smoke or vape going into your body/lungs- is not good for you. I would be curious though on findings with edibles.

In regard to football players...not to long ago, the testing for weed would not pick up the synthetic stuff. So, many of the players went that way...The problem is- that while it initially gave a nice relaxed high similar to weed, it also made these guys bat **** crazy in a very bad aggressive way.
The rumors were that LT was getting coked up before and during Giants games (we know he was failing drug tests, but don't know for sure *when* he was high and when he wasn't). That couldn't possibly have been healthy for his heart and arteries.

And I can't imagine ingesting synthetic drugs is health for most high-intensity athletes today. The military does it. But in that case, it's more of a case of the lesser of two evils (getting killed due to fatigue-driven lack of focus or using chemicals to push beyond normal physical/mental tolerances).

Maybe. When it comes to actual smoking, regardless of what's being smoked, it ain't very healthy because deeply inhaling smoke into one's lungs is flat out unarguably bad for one's health.

That's why I want to see the study and understand the details. Not distinguishing between edibles, vaping, smoking... if the study does that, then I'd argue it's probably meaningless due to being too uncontrolled and imprecise in what it's studying.

Life is all about moderation. Anything in excess isn't good for you, even exercise.

True. I have a soccer player friend who was fanatical about working out and fitness. He's now got two artificial hips and a pacemaker 'cause his heart rate is so low it's problematic.

So yes, everything in moderation (including moderation).

No rumor when it came to LT...Have been to many clubs at the same time as he has been. Before and after his career.
The synthetic **** though- that stuff just put these guys in steroid type rages. Scary as F to see

I've had encounters (outside sports) with guys experiencing steroidal rage and with people experiencing other forms of chemical induced psychosis. And you're right, it is scary. Way worse than alcohol which can be bad enough already.

youth need to wise up as well

Heavy drinking is linked to a number of poor health outcomes, including heart conditions. Excessive alcohol intake can lead to high blood pressure, heart failure or stroke. Excessive drinking can also contribute to cardiomyopathy, a disorder that affects the heart muscle.

What’s more, alcohol can contribute to obesity and the long list of health problems that can go along with it. Alcohol is a source of excess calories and a cause of weight gain that can be harmful in the long term.

Moderate drinking is defined as an average of one drink per day for women and one or two for men. A drink might be less than you think: 12 ounces of beer, 4 ounces of wine or 1.5 ounces of 80-proof spirits.

I always thought that angel dust induced rage was the worst.

I noticed that most runners have problems as they get older.

If I remember correctly it was skinny little addicts....with knives.
So you think Tinker Ball dealt in angel /pixie dust and Peter Pan was a skinny little addict that attacked poor Captain Hook using innocent children as a cover

the obesity, poor diet and lack of exercise are a bigger problem in this country than weed smoking.
Because potheads often get stoned, have salad and workout for 2 hours instead of eating doritos, laying on the couch and ordering pizza.
🤣

The 80's are calling, they want you back. Most people I know who enjoy a little weed aren't laying on the couch at all. Have you ever gone for a run or a hike after a couple hits? Its much more enjoyable, even yard work or cleaning the house is an incredibly different experience

Spent 4 hours running the leaf blower the other day. A little buzz and some ANC earbuds made it a perfectly delightful experience.

Why do any of you care if someone smokes pot?

Some of you seem offended by it and make these crazy claims about pot smokers.

Wait till mushrooms are legal and we can get them added to a sub at Jersey Mikes.
I think some are concerned with those who use it when doing things they shouldn’t like driving or working. Same with booze.

And of course, weed is highly damaging to children and younger adults (impacts developing brain function).

I just want to thank you- and even more so- those that pay you to post this drivel under multiple handles.

The payoff yesterday was just...*chef's kiss*!

That is changing quickly. I believe, in NY- while you can test, you can't penalize unless a job falls into a "safety" classification or if a person is "impaired" during work hours

Yup. NJ protects employees from weed tests unless it directly impacts their job.

He seems to be coping poorly with his shellacking yesterday.

I haven’t seen any support of using pot while driving.

I guess if there is concern about using a leaf blower while high I would think they have more pressing issues to worry about.

Haven't see any support of using guns to shoot people either, but that doesn't stop the left.

I do admit that heroin use in places like Jackson is a bigger problem. However, guess what drug those people started with first? :)

Here’s why … two weeks ago my 47 year son was driving home from work on the SSP Long Island going westbound . As he was exiting at exit 29 rte. 107 he was side wiped on a the entire side of his 2022 CRV Touring. Fortunately no one was injured however the offending driver was high on “weed “ with of course no insurance / already in the high risk category. The officer said though he didn’t see the accident , he smelled something and this he said is happening all the time. The driver was found 100% at fault . Damage was $ 3900 .00 due to the many sensors in the vehicle. Though State Farm my son’s insurer says he won’t be charged for an accident they also admitted it is an upticking issue. So not only alcohol DUI’s , driving F’d up by marijuana is more and more. Please don’t be fooled.
