The same guy who talked sh*t about Schiano but went out of his way to trash Rutgers as a sh*tty school with sh*tty fans. He will appear at Bookends (August 7 at 6 pm) in Ridgewood to discuss his new book. You must reserve tickets to see him. I say we should welcome him with a NJ cheer. 🤣
Ignore the fool , don't let him think his opinion means anything

Ridgewood? Doesn't seem like his base.

Maybe if toured mom's basements statewide with those who pay $8 for Twitter, he'd meet his fans.

Funny thing is Travis went to George Washington & Vanderbilt (law school). Worked for all Democratic campaigns in college and after (and voted for Obama). Only started voting Republican in 2016. When you get married and have kids, things change and you see things differently. People change. That's life.

They’ve been married for 18 years - didn’t change him until he could monetize it. He has made a ton of money by changing his public positions - hard to believe it’s purely changing morals/ethics/beliefs and not at least partly a money grab.

Why give him the publicity?

Let’s be honest here, the leftys really don’t like him cuz of his politics. Nothing to do with what he said about Rutgers , which was completely douchey IMO.

There is an expression that goes something like, "If you are not a liberal at 20, you have no heart. If you are a liberal at 40, you are an idiot". Usually the eyes first open when you see that FICA hit in your paycheck. Sounds like his progression.

That saying was more about old school liberalism/conservatism whish was much more rooted in fiscal policy differences. It's more of a social war these days with Populist vs. Woke environment. Clay did a 180 from one POTUS to the next. There are true believers and there are opportunists. I'm going with the monetization theory.

Sorry to see another thread go in this direction, but if you think it is about the bold above, maybe step outside your news bubble. This is no defense of Clay Travis. There is a very long list of political dissidents and politically homeless from both parties. The difference is former Ds who disagree with one or two D talking points get branded as a right-winger or something more offensive such as Russian assets by the elitists who are running the party. Just ask RFK Jr or Cornel West of all people. Heaven help them should they be disenchanted with the state of the party they once belonged to. Unfortunately, the purported choices on the "other side" suck equally or more. People tend to feel better about their choices living in and listening to their respective information bubbles.

Maybe you should change your screen name to "Proud Tenn Sports Fan" and take up your trolling residence over to the Vols board.

Since Travis made his mean comments about Rutgers, what is RU’s record compared to a Tennessee’s?

Greg has to start winning instead of just developing.

Why does reality always trigger you in every subject?

Wingnut welfare. Lots of professional failures make the switch to jump on the gravy train. Ben Shapiro, Dan McLaughlin, etc. There's lots of money inside the echo chamber.
