I was comparing them for the same reason that others in this thread compared them as well as, talking heads on tv have. Because their main selling point is hype and swag. Neither have school connections, neither have area connections, and neither have Pac 12 connections. And neither are the best coaches you could get for the money.
Who is better than Deion now in your opinion?

I think this quote is very important and an example of him looking out for the kids

"Now what I don't want you to do is thinking something is better on the other side in regards to some of you," Sanders said. "I would like have the opportunity to meet with some of you so you don't go jump in the portal and you die in the portal.

"I don't want that to happen."

I posted some of this in the carousel thread but he's likely to bring Charles Kelly a current Alabama and former FSU assistant on as DC. Tim Brewster is on his JSU staff and is likely to come. He might bring his JSU OC Brett Bartolone with him who is a coach recommended to him by Leach when he asked Leach for some input.

Maybe Rutgers should’ve asked Mike Leach instead of Urban Meyer lol.

LOL, unlike others here I don't think there's malicious intent with any recommendations from a coach or admin. They all put their buddies up for jobs and speak well of them. It's really more upon the AD to do due diligence beyond that to make the right choice.

When are we supposed to go after him ? Schiano isn’t getting fired after 3 seasons
Move Schiano upstairs, from there he can work on getting the NIL funds needed to bring in blue chip players, and build facilities needed for the program. Now bring Deon or whoever else in as head coach 👍

Give the guy 5 years …that’s only 2 more . Then decide

Why not? Look what Elko has done in his first year, or TCU. All this “a couch needs 5 years to turn it around” is BS spouted by administrations that made bad hires.
Exactly, who goes in in this day and age and say I have a 5 year plan😂
This is what we were told about when Edwards and ASU.
Let’s see if he can actually coach when he doesn’t have significantly more talent. He can’t outspend USC and isn’t a better coach than Utah or ucla. Are barstool and Colorado alum going to pony up millions in NIL for 6-6?
More talent, Saban has significantly more talent, so does Georgia no one ever question truer coaches ability. Prime time just completed a undefeated season, yeah because he went out and got the talent. The question that you should ask is how. Oils Prime Time assemble that talesbt at a HBCU. He relates to players and has more credibility then a lot of coaches. He doesn’t come in and say I have a 5 year plan, he come in and say he wants to dominate. They won one game this year if he can get them 6 wins next year recruits will be heading to Colorado

Coaches get fired for not winning in 3 to 4 years, we want to give someone 5 years. Whu gives someone 20 million $$ and they don’t produce a winning record

He seems to have an affinity for coaching a places with lack of diversity.

That’s some great out of the box thinking that would’ve made sense at a place like Rutgers. Too bad Schiano will never move off that sideline for the good of the program.

Bro he’s going to Colorado…. What kind of football history and tradition do you think Colorado offers? RU is less than an hour from NYC, prime is tied in with Barstool who’se headquarters are in NYC…. It would have been the answer to NIL. The amount of Greg’s buyout and primes contract would be peanuts compared to the revenue Prime would bring to Rutgers
Colorado offers about as much history and tradition as Rutgers does, if not more.

I don’t get he whole Deion is just a “celebrity” HC . You people are acting like he’s Kanye west.
He’s a hall of fame player that obviously knows the game. Would Tom Brady get the same reaction if he became a HC in 15 years ??

Tom Brady tackled better.

Why did you bring up race? I did not see race mentioned at all. Did I miss a post?

I would not compare Deion to Herm just because they were DB's in the NFL. Deion will win if he can get players and the same applies to all the coaches. There are only so many wins when the other team has better players

You need at least even talent to consistently win
Sander has proved that he can win , he had a competitive advantage because he is Prime Time. No one complains about Saban competitive advantage. Our coach been coaching for years, who will bring in more 4 stars GS or DS

He’s a used car salesman but I’d take him as our coach. He can get talent. Never happen at Rutgers though.

Who brings the most lucrative NIL package.
DS on both accounts, wait until he gets there , the weed $$$ will start funneling into the NIL. Think he is gonna bring about 10-15 transfers in
