My post wasn't actually about the Pizza. I eat it like twice per year, it's the bureaucratic overreach I have a problem with. Banning coal-fired ovens makes no difference environmentally, it's just the next step in eliminating New York culture and furthering it's decay..
That's a little dramatic, don't you think?

All about power and control.
Not “for the environment “

When the New York city government is promoting sexual perverts parading around naked in front of children (or anyone really), then no, I don't think I'm being dramatic.
How do you know they are "sexual perverts"?

A pervert is: "an insulting word for someone whose sexual behavior you consider to be wrong or not normal"

Parading around naked is not sexual behavior. And is the city "promoting" anything or not enforcing public nudity laws? They are two different things.

This thread has jumped the naked shark for sure.

I don't recall that. Was there a Nixle alert issued by local authorities? So to recap, we went from pizza, to coal-fired oven emission studies (not mandates) to sexual perverts being encouraged by government to parade in front of everyone?

So you are still wiping down your groceries
Yes, still wiping down groceries, double-masked, avoiding all human contact and hiding in my bunker hoarding ground beef. Did I miss anything?

For the record, we stopped wiping things down about 4-5 months into the pandemic, once strong data demonstrating that fomites (surfaces) were a negligible transmission vector became available (you know, evaluating the best new science and changing my behavior based on that, which is the same reason I started wearing a mask in early March 2020 a month before the CDC recommended them - I knew the science better than almost anyone, as I had done primary research on mask effectiveness with other toxins sized similarly to viruses. But I stopped worrying completely about getting infected once I was fully vaccinated on 3/19/20, which is also the day I drove to Indy to see RU in the NCAA hoops tourney. From that point on, I only wore masks as a courtesy to others, in case I might be infected and didn't know it, but I had zero fear of getting a severe infection. And I correctly predicted every key NCAA/RU decision related to the pandemic, usually weeks before those decisions came out.

Exactly. I still can’t believe people are so easily fooled by politicians (right and left)

shame he didn't offer the police a slice, but video cut out a little after they arrived, so he might have given them a slice while getting a littering ticket
if they cited him for that😋

No i didnt lie...why are you melting down
Yeah, you did.

Do cliched perjoratives like "melting down," "woke" and "snowflake" make you feel better about having so few original and/or insightful thoughts whistling around your skull-heavy head?

Because they serve little other purpose.

If you've ever been to a football game in this state, you won't have to worry about people over exercising

Btw, when is Rutgers going to drop the mandate already? Only about 12 Universities are still requiring it, it's clearly not about public health at this point.
What mandate is still in place @ RU?

My wife is from Montreal. They banned the use of wood fireplaces in homes years ago. This is where we are headed.
They do this here in NJ, somebody better be ripping up my street and putting in some gas lines. Otherwise, these climate freaks can go kiss my ***. My farm is carbon negative their homes aren't, they're the problem not me.

You know that if you can’t read and don’t know anything you should just stay out.

Montreal's wood-burning ban starts Oct. 1: What you need to know

From 2018.
But that isn't the outright ban on wood fireplaces your previous post suggested.

From reading. In 2023.

You can’t do it. It’s banned. Yes, I know liberal logic. You will say it’s not really banned because if you spend thousands of dollars to renovate your home or buy the most expensive new fireplace then it’s ok. But nobody can so it’s banned. But you know more than My wife’s family and all her friends who you know, live there.

That's not what an outright ban is. Your article explains. Try reading it instead of just not linking.

I do know that I’ve been to Montreal since the new rules - not a ban - were implemented and sat by a nice, warm, legal wood-burning fireplace.

I’m sure you did at a fancy hotel. Or expensive restaurant. Maybe Wanda’s.
Can’t remember which lib politician made the comment about coal. Not really banking it, just making it impossible to build a plant.

Thanks for revealing that you have zero understanding of science and clearly didn't read my posts on the pandemic. I actually predicted almost every major element of the pandemic correctly after mid-Feb 2020 and shared countless peer-reviewed scientific articles explaining just about everything related to the virus and the pandemic and could share all of those posts with you by IM if you like, but can't here, as we've all been asked to not make COVID posts. I wish that were not the case, but I don't make the rules.
lulZ you cut&pasted your "articles" that agreed with your political bias: Trump sucked and Fauci was a hero. So wrong lol. Well to be fair, Trump did screw-up by trusting Fauci for too long. The real medical experts that correctly and honestly analyzed chicomvirus "science" were actual doctors like Scott Jensen and Harvey Risch.

People who don't want Manhattan to go down the tubes should want people back in the office at least 2-3 days a week. And Wall St., run by not only Boomers but also Gen X and even some early Millenials seem to think it's a good idea. And if you don't want to see a borough full of empty storefronts you should too.

LOL. Precious few people under 50 want to return to the office. People in their 30s and 40s tend to like their spouses and children more than the older generation and don't feel the need to babysit adults. Read any poll on it.

Manhattan doesn't need offices. It will shift to being a tourist oriented city like so many others even before COVID.

Getting back on topic: can you get near Deluccia's now that the Portnoy hype has calmed down, or has it? He also reviewed Prima Pizza in Somerville, which looked really good too.

Delucia's still gets packed from what I understand. Believe you have to call in your pie ahead of time even if you're eating in.

Here are the rules from their website but they also ask you to check Instagram for more up to date notices.

Thank you for your continued support!
Due to cooking our pies using the residual heat in the oven, we are limited to the number of pies we can cook on a daily basis.
Going over this number of pies will cause a decrease in the quality of our product.

Please check the Instagram feed below for current booking status.

ONLY ACCEPTING Phone and Walk-in Orders.
We do not accept orders 30 minutes prior to closing.

When making reservations for dine-in (same day only), please have your order ready when placing the call for reservations.
This helps us ensure we have the correct time reserved in the oven for a hot fresh pie!

If it bothers you so much you don’t have to participate in the discussion. ❄️
The bagels in Montreal are better than NJ. The pizza not as good. Agree or disagree?

I prefer my fries crispy. Not much of a fan of disco fries or poutine, with gravy, so I don’t a preference. Which do you prefer?

Thanks! I still may make a special trip there, but that sounds like a lot to remember. I think I'll go to Prima Pizza Kitchen first or just make a special stop in my old haunts: Central Pizza in Somerville and Manville Pizza.
