I'd rather we not even start hashing out whether she was right or wrong to call them that. I think some people would argue that certain members of his cabinet have particular histories and affiliations that could make it debatable, but no one is going to change anyone's mind on that.
But I don't view white supremacist as a racist term. It's no different than calling someone a racist. It isn't racist to call someone a racist. This is just a particular brand of racism. She could call them nazis or communists or anarchists. Obviously white supremacists are going to be overwhelmingly white, but it isn't an inherent racial slur based on skin color, it's based on behavior and belief. It's because they're hateful, not because they're white.

Ungodly dishonest. ESPN lists the twitter accounts of their personalities ON AIR under their names. They are not personal. Again, they could be, but they are in on it.

I wasn't aware he was fired for a facebook post. I thought it was something he said on a radio show, to be honest. Absolutely the wrong move by ESPN. What he said was dumb and it offended people, but facebook is probably even more private/personal than twitter.
Now, you could argue he had been abrasive and awful for a while and was on thin ice, but Jemele Hill has been too. My guess is that big SC6 contract and marketing push is what got her a warning and not let go, but it's definitely inconsistent.

Because big personalities are good for the brand. It would be wasteful to have a "work only" twitter account for them. But it doesn't mean they're always representing ESPN's thoughts. Anyone with a brain and no agenda knows that is only what Jemele Hill thinks. ESPN is just the platform these people express their sports analysis through.
