I’m not really a true crime or murder doc person, but the Gabby Pettito doc on Netflix is compelling and well done. Only three 40-min episodes, so not much fluff. Truly awful to see what happen to this young woman.

Can we talk about Severance?

This has to be the biggest drop-off between a season 1 and a season 2 in TV history. Season 1 was very compelling and interesting but this second season is unwatchable garbage. Did the show writers start taking shrooms when they sat down to write this season???
Season 2 is fine so far.

If anyone still has Peacock, a series called Long Bright River wasn’t bad. 8 episode crime series. Didn’t expect to like it, but actually wasn’t bad.

Netflix just released a new doc on the Joplin, MO F5 tornado. Wow. Direct accounts from survivors along with raw footage. Only 90 minutes, so nice quick watch.

I’m enjoying Poker Face - a modern twist on Colombo. Natasha Lyonne fans may also enjoy Russian Doll.

Although tonight’s episode was subpar, White Lotus is amazing.

Also, quick plugs for Reacher, Shogun and Landman.

Just wish Landman was an old series so it could be binged.
I had a hard time getting through the first season of White Lotus but may give it another try.
Shogun was a fun watch.

Enjoyed Poker Face and yes it’s a twist on Columbo. Liked the way, they used the timeline of events. Elsbeth isn’t as good, another show that also tries to mimic the old Columbo. Another “old show” we took up on a whim was Matlock with Kathy Bates. Wasn’t expecting to like it but it’s light and funny, not a procedural murder show like the old Andy Griffith one. They put a different twist on it.

Tried watching White Lotus in season 1 and couldn’t get into it and that was that.

Landman was very enjoyable and I think Billy Bob is cast perfectly for it. The dialog and one liners crack me up at times.

Started watching The Residence on Netflix. 3 episodes in and it’s funny and enjoyable. A sort of Agatha Christie Hercule Poirot/Miss Marple or Benoit Blanc Knives out mystery/comedy. So far I think it’s better than Knives Out.

So, I still enjoys shows like Survivor, Amazing Race and even American Idol.
WTF is Carrie Underwood thinking with the inflated lips. Such a pretty woman who is looking like a freak.
Advice to any and all women, do your boobs, nose, tummy tuck, don’t ever do lips. Has never looked good on any woman, ever.

White lotus has 3-4 storylines going, and each of those move slowly but steadily towards a culmination
With two episodes left, a lot to resolve yet

I really like the show, but see several here dont

The writer/director of the show is the guy who played Sara Silvermans boyfriend in School of Rock
He looked like a dimwit in the movie, but he does have talents

On Netflix I watched:

Adolescence, eh for me wasn’t that great. British show, 4 episodes, I think they should have added at least 2 more episodes and gave more details.

Caught, I liked it. I believe it’s an Argentina series. I dubbed English. Crime drama. 6 episodes, some twists and turns, keeps you interested.

Surface was pretty good season one but season two…
Even Season one, at times, too cliche but that girl has one of the prettiest faces ever and it is on the screen 80% of the season..,

Adolescence spoiler alert

Adolescence is much different than your typical murder series

Each episode completely different than the others looking at different
things

Episode one..... The arrest
Two....A look into the school and its environment
Three...... A study into the boys thinking, emotions and reactions
Four....The realization and torment of the parents

You didn't need to find out any more after that, you didn't need A conclusion
I thought it was very good

Just finished part 2 of 1923. Amazing show . Great performances by Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

If you watched and like Yellowstone watch 1869 first and then 1923 two great series.

1883 was one of the best 1 season series that I’ve ever seen. Probably the best thing I’ve watched in the last 5 years. If you enjoy American history you will love this show.

1923 was good. Kind of a slow burn but it ended spectacularly. 90% of Taylor Sheridan’s output is good.

1883 was by far one of the best 1 season series ever. I have watched it twice. 1923 was also very good but it seemed they rushed the final episode just to tidy up everything to end it. Hated the length of time it took for them to finally get the 2nd season.

Both outshine Yellowstone. Almost feel like they will get one more new series out of this- Maybe into the 1940's and a lead directly into Yellowstone. That way, we all have a full following of the family from start to end.

Just finished Lioness season 2. Joe was more intense and did yell more but I didn't think it was too bad, more than tolerable for me. I suppose everything is downhill in terms of yelling after The Bear lol. Thought the storyline was somewhat disjointed though trying to make connections between various things.

she can yell all she wants- just as long as she is always looking as good as she does.

Since this is the Football Board - I am watching the last season of All American - could have easily ended it last season - mostly new storylines this season but still descent

Surprised nobody mentioned Righteous Gemstones - great cast and a fun, easy watch

Andor Season 2 is absolutely fantastic. Best SW content since Empire. Episodes 1-3 were okay with too much filler, but then episodes 4-6 were great, and now episodes 7-9 are beyond awesome.

Hoping they stick the landing with the last block of episodes next week!

The Acolyte killed my Star Wars fandom. Watched two episodes and canceled Disney. But I've heard good things about the 2nd season of Andor and I really liked the 1st season.

Gemstones was great in the early seasons this season seemed to get real raunchy. Surface seemed good.

Never watched Acolyte or many of the other recent crappy shows, but Andor was clearly a cut above with true professionals working on it. Probably worth a 1-month subscription to check it out.

I just blew through S1 of “your friends and neighbors.” Freaking fantastic!

Also started watching S1 and 2 of “Cheers” which, honestly, I probably haven’t seen since they originally came out. The writing is beyond phenomenal (mainly because it’s much more real/raw than anything we’ve dealt with in the recent past). The on-screen chemistry is stunning yeah I almost feel like the parts were originally written for each of these cast members (which I believe to be the case for John Ratzenberger).

Watched The Tylenol Murders, only three episodes, combined its under 2 hours in total. I remember the event, forgot the details. Some creepy people out there.
