Don't be alarmed when the high schooler behind the counter busts out her IPhone to make your change. It's not a scam...it's really how we do things.

Got it...here's hoping for a great game....last time we were there was 2004 and Rutgers won 19-14. I think we JohnL Smith, a joke of a coach and Damon Dowdell as qb

That MSU team had one of the best HS players in the last 50 years in NJ on it. Tyrell Dortch...shame he had such an injury plagued career for you guys. He was pure beast in HS.

I remember that game well. A group of MSU fans made hysterical t-shirts that said "keep your governor out of our end zone". This wasn't long after McGreevy coming out of the closet. I chuckled.

Now that's funny. I wish I saw it.

Nowadays, if any of our fans did something like that, the Star Liar would call for an inquisition.

I kind of think the stadium food sucks. A lot. But that's just me.

Last year, we had vendors selling extra stuff (Premio sausage, for example) but I haven't seen them yet this year.

Stadium food is bad. Food outside the stadium and in New Brunswick is good. If you don't have a tailgate to crash, go over to Stuff yer Face in New Brunswick or another bar if you want around 4 to eat and pregame.

That will be $4.87. You gave me $5. OK. Let's see. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

God forbid if you give her $5.02.

"You gave me $5.02."

"Right, you owe me 15 cents."

"But you gave me $5.02. It's only $4.87."

"I know. You owe me 15 cents."

"OK. Here are your 2 pennies back. [Taps her iPhone] Five minus $4.87. OK. Here is 13 cents."

"Great. Do you mind giving me a nickel for these 5 pennies."

"Oh. I owed you 15 cents. How did you know that?"

And that is why the lines move so slow.

Awful food. Go to a good Italian deli, get a great Sub or sandwich or 2 , tell them to wrap it good, get a clear plastic carry bag , not too big, 12"x6"x12", put it in there, and carry it in. No wait, good food.
In front of the main gate, some of the set up tables give away these tote bags, along w R magnets. Big enough to put in a sweater, or rain poncho etc.

Almost pissed myself. So very true and it isn't just at the stadium - it's everywhere kids have to count.

I don't want to discourage anyone from buying food in the stadium, but I don't care much for the stadium grub. I would get a dirty water dog once in a while and usually coffee. The last time I got coffee it was ice cold (I was in the stadium very early) and I brought it back and got a warm strong cup that I couldn't drink. That was just a one time goof though, not the norm.

I managed fast food restaurants for 20 years over 35 years ago.
All the kids could count up. Now I,m amazed when I give them
the loose change, the confusion it causes. But they are not (counting up) anymore.
My Grandson is in 1st grade and if took awhile to figure it out,
the new new math, My wife was a grammar school teacher years ago
and it took awhile to be able to help him with his homework.
Any way, the stadium food leaves a lot to be desired. Best to buy the food
and drinks outside the stadium. For example, can of coke was $1 apposed
to $5.

As I said above, I'd get the Fat Darrell but the Empanada Guy food truck in Athletes Glenn at the Block R party across from the stadium had a good lobster empanada last game.

While the stadium food isn't the greatest, I think some of you are short-changing us. In between each section there is a kiosk that sells different items that are not the standard fare. I've seen footlong chili cheese dogs, pulled pork, loaded fries, and other stuff.

I think the Premio sausage carts are still there. Last one I had was very good.

On an unrelated note, the long lines are for the bathrooms not the food.

Grab a boli at Stuff Yer Face before the game and you won't be hungry. They cook when ordered so it takes a while.

Our concessions are definitely below average both in quality and service.
