OT: Little League Parents Effecting Players ...Bush League

I used to run a club softball organization (also very involved in our town rec and travel teams) and parent behavior definitely got worse over time. When we were recruiting new players we were evaluating the parents almost as much as the kids so we always had a good group of parents. It was not uncommon for us to not offer a girl a spot on the team because of her parents reputation. I also officiated swimming from saturday duel meets to junior olympic and state meets and experienced first hand the increased vitriol from parents towards officials.

With regard to officiating the one thing I don't have tolerance for is when they don't know the rules.

I officiated HS and middle school track and cross country for many years. The beauty of that sport is no parents or coaches yelling at you
