Of course let's not forget Sayreville Bar. Mussels with the salad bar.

More of a restaurant but they had a cool bar.

certainly looks a lot different. Definitely an eerie feeling driving over the victory bridge. Big jump spot.

Other Sayreville news as they just indicted a guy for the shooting of the councilwoman. Hopefully they solve this one as the wiltsey case was never really solved in that town

What happened to the Sayreville Bar? Brother in law loved that place.

Gone. A block of new houses in its place.

Sayreville Bar was a customer on my Home News paper route in the 70s. The kid who turned the route over to me said "always collect from the bar on Friday afternoon." Turns out the reason was that there were half a dozen regulars at the bar who would, every week, say "Oh, you're collecting for the paper? Here, let me pay you."

I believe you're correct.
Worked down in that area when they were building the waterfront park. I thought I heard that park was technically in Sayreville but you have to go through south Amboy to get to it

Decent pizza in that area.
Nunzio’s - then south Amboy delio’s and sciorintino’s (think they were just opening the south location ) .
