Or sink a few Birdies. Oh wait, that's no big deal for you. Never mindLooks like a great time for a ride to AC!
Good shot someone hits 70 next week. Just a few days of warmth and back to 50s but no cold air on the horizon
Well, it was supposed to be on February 20th so there's that.Oh and I guess the March 9 storm isn't happening...
Bahaha
Sheer lack of snow in a winter storm thread feels defeating, so I'll piggyback on your post to add:17° this morning above Boone NC, snowing and blowing, with winds of 14 mph, gusting to 23 mph. So far, looks like just 2" down but drifts of 6". Had our fill of winter. Ready for spring....
Lol. Still blowin here. 18" drift in driveway. Going to let it be, for now. Just cannot muster the courage and energy to clear it. Tomorrow, though....Sheer lack of snow in a winter storm thread feels defeating, so I'll piggyback on your post to add:
Raining imby in Wasatch Front but well over a foot of snow a few thousand feet higher in mtns. No shoveling before snowboarding! But variable snow for sure ... knee deep powder up top, thick, wet, crumbly cookie dough down low.
Cold is cold. It's winter after all but these winds the past month or so have really sucked. 30, 40, 50 mph gusts more often than not. This wind is really starting to chaff my bits.
This time of year always sucks for wind or sucks wind as the case may be. Angry competing air masses.Cold is cold. It's winter after all but these winds the past month or so have really sucked. 30, 40, 50 mph gusts more often than not.
Understand your point but have to say I've been down here at the shore for 30+ years. Maybe it's me (ageThis time of year always sucks for wind or sucks wind as the case may be. Angry competing air masses.
Yeah its such a ***** in MarchThis wind is really starting to chaff my bits.
Maybe man made?Understand your point but have to say I've been down here at the shore for 30+ years. Maybe it's me (age) but this has been much more consistent than any I remember. The other day we hit 60mph
No. Try again. It’s typical for this time of year.Maybe man made?
But it says February 20th.Windy through Saturday, but as per the NWS, next Wednesday might see the first 70F day in Philly, right on time...
"For Philadelphia Int'l Airport, the average first 70° day of the year within the 1991-2020 climate normal period is March 12th. Coincidentally, we are currently forecasting the first 70° of the year to occur next Wednesday, March 12th!
The earliest 70° day on record was January 6, 2007 and latest was April 29, 1940.
The average first 80° day is exactly 1 month later on April 12th. The average first 90° day is May 24th"
Both.But it says February 20th.
Are you a wizard or time traveler?
Typical, not constantNo. Try again. It’s typical for this time of year.
Sustained 25-30 mph winds all day today in FL. 3 foot waves in the Gulf of AmericaUnderstand your point but have to say I've been down here at the shore for 30+ years. Maybe it's me (age) but this has been much more consistent than any I remember. The other day we hit 60mph
Don’t be a an old lady. Spring winds are normal.Typical, not constant
Gulf of Mexico, old lady. I know age makes you forgetful. Here to help.Sustained 25-30 mph winds all day today in FL. 3 foot waves in the Gulf of America

I’ll go with explorers and mapmakers going back to the 1500s. But thanks for the “pointer” old lady. Not according to CNN

Better tell the gang at Google too…I’ll go with explorers and mapmakers going back to the 1500s. But thanks for the “pointer” old lady.
So I’m guessing by that standard you still refer to NJ as New Netherlands?I’ll go with explorers and mapmakers going back to the 1500s. But thanks for the “pointer” old lady.
Don't be a douche. The frequency isn't normal.Don’t be a an old lady. Spring winds are normal.
It has seemed excessively windy this winterDon't be a douche. The frequency isn't normal.
In case you haven't looked at a calendar, Feb and early March aren't Spring, early or otherwise.
Normal for this time of year.Don't be a douche. The frequency isn't normal.

No I do not. But I don’t blindly follow dbags who want to change history on a whim. You do know that when a town changes its name in this state it’s done by referendum. So I’m guessing by that standard you still refer to NJ as New Netherlands?
From the Rutgers NJ Weather network......Normal for this time of year.
Another Dbag I guess? No I do not. But I don’t blindly follow dbags who want to change history on a whim. You do know that when a town changes its name in this state it’s done by referendum.
Wasn’t that its original name? Was the Gulf ever known as the Gulf of America? If that was its original name, I stand corrected.
Fair enough. But I was talking about it being normal to experience windy conditions this time of year. No use complaining about it, especially if you live near the ocean. From the Rutgers NJ Weather network......
The first month of 2025 was cold, dry, and windy. It was the coldest January since 2014, one of the driest of the past 131 years, dew points dropped below zero or into the single digits on 23 days, and winds gusted to 40 mph or higher on 16 days. No doubt, a profitable outcome for those in the lip balm business!
And that's New Brunswick, not the coast. Winds here hit 49 last night.
No matter how you slice it, that's not normal so unless you're trolling I suggest you provide data or back away.
True.Fair enough. But I was talking about it being normal to experience windy conditions this time of year. No use complaining about it, especially if you live near the ocean.
I believe it was 2018 or 19, I lost five sections of fence. A couple of posts snapped due to the wind. Another one of those March events.True.
But it’s just windy-er no matter where you live right now.
Yup such hypocrites
