If I had a shot of playing pro ball somewhere in the world I would spend most of my free time shooting in the gym. It's low intensity and easy on the body. Video games?

Its like having 12 cups of coffee or 4 24oz WaWa coffees in a day.

Now i will admit i drink a whole pot of coffee a day which is 48 oz but Mayer doubled that output and that includes time off for playing a game
Those drinks are ridiculous. It's absurd that they're legal and kids can go buy them.
If Red Bull and Vodka had been a thing when I was in college, I would not be alive.

55 year old Co-worker of mine 4 years ago was working 70-80 hours a week and drinking at least 3 Monster's a day plus coffee to stay awake working those hours. I told him that he was going to kill himself by doing that. He wasn't feeling good one day and went to his doctor. His blood pressure was 190 over 112. He stopped drinking Monster and Coffee and his blood pressure went back down to 130 over 80. That stuff is terrible for you.

I work in IT, we used to have free coffee brewing in the break room. There was a service that came in and cleaned the machines and the water lines and refreshed all the supplies.
I knew guys who drank a cup an hour, every hour. Diabolically brilliant by management.

I work in IT also. Coffee is everywhere. I stopped drinking it a few years ago.

Actually, that at least WAS a standard perq for most companies. Nothing diabolical going on.

It was diabolical for ALL of them.
They cut the summer picnic, they cut the Christmas party, they cut the "attaboy" gift cards - but they always kept the caffeine machines going.

I guess not all athletes treat their body like a temple

I'll drink an occasional coffee but made a point to not become a daily caffeine addict

I don’t think drinking coffee has any negative correlation with one’s athletic output.

Personally I find a noticeable difference when I don’t run (jog) within an hour of drinking my daily coffee.

Caffeine is a BIG DEAL to NBA players
Lots of coffee drinking pre-game
Positive effect on performance
