How did that happen?Lindor being evaluated for hamate bone injury. He may require surgery. If so, there will be a six week recovery period.
They're not really sure. Apparently he's been dealing with it for years. How did that happen?
From what I understand it's been on and off for a long time. It was fine in the off-season but when he got to camp was doing some activities it flared up again enough for him to say something. It continues to amaze me why athletes don’t deal with these matters during the off season !
Do they just bring up Mauricio for SS if Lindor isn't ready or maybe offer a minor league contract to OMG?Bichette isn't going to play SS. They want him fully focusing on 3B. Also RF isn't guaranteed to Benge even though I'm sure they would like him to win the job.
I think they believe Lindor will be back very close to OD so they will go with the internal options like Mauricio or Brujan. I would not close the door on a guy like Iglesias though.Do they just bring up Mauricio for SS if Lindor isn't ready or maybe offer a minor league contract to OMG?
Who do you believe would be in RF? I would think they had a "plan" before they announced Soto to LF
He got dragged a lot for it. I'm sure he knew but for whatever reason he got it stuck in his head that Acuna was a SH. Not a great look at all but he made fun of it the next day but certainly odd.I just saw that the WhiteSox GM thought that Acuna was a switch hitter...Since Acuna was pretty much the major trade piece to get Robert Jr. - how does the GM that made the trade not know every detail?
Yeah- he was smart enough to make fun of himself and not try to make an excuse for it. It is too bad that way too many people do not get this concept. But yeah- bad look, as doing it once is just an oops but o do it 4 times and then even pretty much admit to it...while he got in front of it- it just is not a good look. It will be forgotten but wow.He got dragged a lot for it. I'm sure he knew but for whatever reason he got it stuck in his head that Acuna was a SH. Kimbrel does not do that silly chicken wing thing in warmups.
More important, does he know that he can't hit?I just saw that the WhiteSox GM thought that Acuna was a switch hitter...Since Acuna was pretty much the major trade piece to get Robert Jr. - how does the GM that made the trade not know every detail?
Oh, there are worse videos, I only posted Kimbrel because of the chicken wing or whatever move he does in a game. It's very weird, but if it makes him pitch better, I'll allow it.Next SNY will post a video of paint drying . . .
Vientos at 1B? Don't be bored, @willisneverrana43 .So- guess it looks like opening lineup should be
C - Alvarez
1B -Polanco
2B - Semien
3B - Baty
SS - Bichette
LF - Soto
CF - Robert Jr.
LF - Benge
DH - Vientos
Curious who becomes leadoff now

Anything left?Am I the only one that had no idea Craig Kimbrel was in the Mets camp? Does he have anything left?
Caveat - I haven't read the first two pages of this thread.
Hefners a p-$$yOn another note…why does it seem that everyone leaving the organization seem to be either giving vibes they are happy to get out or just straight out dissing the organization like Hefner is?

Social media is full of meanness. But he got ripped in the comments under the interviewHis reference to "that other team up north"... is that the full extent of how Hefner supposedly ripped the Mets? Is that it? If so, I think y'all are being a tad too sensitive.
Hefner was speaking to Atlanta media and playing to his audience.
Great interview with Howie and Cohen. How anyone can get on this guy as an owner is not a serious person.
I'd thought about the comment that everyone leaving the Mets either has bad vibes about them or rips them, and I rePETEdly couldn't figure it out.His reference to "that other team up north"... is that the full extent of how Hefner supposedly ripped the Mets? I don't think it is an ownership thing - think about it- we all can figure out that Cohen pushed for Pete last year and Soto as well. Stearns just seems the type of guy that gives off such an "off" vibe about him...@yesrutgers01 about what you said earlier with the exit interview stuff…
I can remember Scherzer and Verlander saying much better things. Now granted, management was different, but ownership was the same.
not sure about the Pete comment...are you agreeing or are you saying that Pete was glowing about the Met'sI'd thought about the comment that everyone leaving the Mets either has bad vibes about them or rips them, and I rePETEdly couldn't figure it out.
IDK. Here's Chavez's instagram post of October 3.The real bitter ex coach is Chavez and he's a moron because he'll probably never get a job in baseball again.
