Has anyone seen the trailer for this? Coming out Thanksgiving but already being hyped. Ambitious project but if anyone can pull it off it would be Ridley Scott and Joaquin Phoenix. The 1812 French march on Russia and retreat is one of history's most studied military campaigns and is among the most tragic and lethal. Can't wait to see how it is portrayed.

Casting Joaquin Phoenix is a hint to where Scott is going.
Looks like Scarface meets Les Miserables.
Not optimistic.
