I've explained before that to there's no such thing as bad pizza except in extreme examples. I'm indifferent between Costco pizza, deep dish pizza, greek pizza and artisan pizza. All different but all tasty.Texas Weiner 1, Plainfield.
Already had a Black Bear natural casing frankfurter with cheese and mustard this morning! Great breakfast!
No, no, no! That North Plainfield one on 22 was awful and filthy! So dirty that even the mice and rats stopped going there. Lol. It closed awhile ago I think.Isn't that North Plainfield, ha ha ? Same with hot dogs. I've been to Rutt's Hut, Hot Dog Johnny's, Texas Wiener, Nathan's and have had famous Dodger dogs. And countless others. Different but all good.
Line them up in front of me and I wouldnt have a preference
Jimmy Buff's on 22 in Scotch Plains
Sad it closed
No Buff too tough!
I have a bad experience with Texas Weiner in Plainfield. I was working at the Bambergers dept store in Plainfield on a Sunday night at the holidays and the only place open for a dinner break was Texas Weiner. A bunch of us from the store ate there, but I was the only one that got sick.Texas Weiner 1, Plainfield.

It was beloved by all in the area except for me.
But I could go for Johnny and Hanges here in Fair Lawn (obviously I've moved to a different part of the state).

I was born in Plainfield! Lived there until after 8th grade. We had a house in Lavallette beginning in 1968. Where were there every weekend between Easter and Thanksgiving and most of the summer but knew all of Plainfield very well. Including the years my uncle was mayor. It was right next to Two Guys and Korvette's, lol
The best!! The closest I can get them is at the the ShopRite near the Quaker Bridge Mall. And yes I do drive 30 miles+ to get them.I have taken Thumann’s dogs several hundred miles, and nearly everyone agrees - they’re the best they’ve ever had.
Yes, it seems only some Shop Rites have them. Must depend on the store franchisor. My brother gets them from Costco. The best!! The closest I can get them is at the the ShopRite near the Quaker Bridge Mall. And yes I do drive 30 miles+ to get them.

Instead, on our family trips up to the Poconos (or on our way home), we would always stop at much superior King Cole's Grove - Dad would get two chili dogs, Mom and I would get cheeseburgers and we'd all share some onion rings, while eating in the shade right on the banks of the Delaware. Good memories...
Had to be a Caldor and Bradlees around there tooIt was right next to Two Guys and Korvette's, lol
Haha, I'm sure that was probably part of it as well. Just an all around experience at King Cole.We always stopped at either KCG or HDJ. Dad liked KCG because he could get awith his meal...lol.
These days, hand me any hot dog with a natural casing and I am a happy camper.

I think Best’s are rancidI miss Syd’s , originally on Chancellor Ave in Newark, and then Vauxhall Road in Millburn. They used Newark based Best Provisions hot dogs. Indeed, they were the best. NJ is blessed with some great hot dog outlets. I love a double at Jimmy Buffs.
Indeed, Syd's were excellent! When I worked in New Providence, I'd make the trek to Millburn for lunch every so often for a couple of Syd's dogs.I miss Syd’s , originally on Chancellor Ave in Newark, and then Vauxhall Road in Millburn.
