Calling for a thread-ban when I've broken no rules, and you have. How Joey of you.

Wow- move it to CE? This has just become a fun/funny thread that is similar to most dude type conversations in the real world. Wish we had more of these around here
Exactly - and notice how he hasn't called for any other OT silly threads to be moved. There are obvious reasons why if one considers the source. But I'm done debating this trivial point, as going further will only make it more likely it gets derailed and moved.

without mayo- does one just cut hard boiled eggs in half and put them between a couple pieces of bread?

I'm with @mildone on mayo - it oughta be eradicated from the planet or at least never be allowed to be put on French fries.

Ketchup is perfect for fries, burgers, eggs, homefries, and meatloaf, but should not be used on hot dogs, like my wife does.
Obviously you’re not a fan of grilled cheese sandwiches because mayo is key

One travel hack I've gotten into the habit of doing is volunteering early for gate-checking my carryon bag. I don't get dinged the fee for checking bag, and I get priority boarding for helping out the gate crew.
Do you have to get your carryon bag at the baggage claim though?

I think the Dutch like it with French Fries.

Yes, they do - spent a couple of days in Amsterdam a few years ago and was appalled. Probably worse than eating dogs or cats, lol.

I don't know if I recall the Dutch but the Belgians definitely do the mayo thing with fries. It's offered as the primary accompaniment to dip with pommes frites, rather than ketchup.

How you integrating the mayo?

Think I've had it like that on a grilled cheeseburger but never on reg grilled cheese.
you put it on the bread, either inside or out or both. I usually go with inside and butter on the outside

^^ Airlines way overthinking it. The time consuming thing is everybody looking for overhead bin space. Assign specific overhead bin space to seat and problem is solved.
Or just allow free checked bags and then people won't have the huge carry on luggage. So many people carry on just to save money.

The problem with the post you responded to and even if they also gave free checked bags...
1) a lot of planes just do not have equal seat to overhead bin space.
2) Even with free checked bags- so many are not doing it for money but convenience and trust. If your only bag is in a overhead- you will never have lost luggage, destroyed luggage, someone going through it and you get to just get off the plane and leave. - but, charging for luggage is just BS in the first place.

I agree that it wouldn't eliminate all carryon bags but I think it may be enough that it not a competitive sport to find space in the bins. Honestly if I was in charge I would require all airline to have free bags, minimum seat pitch and width. I know it would force prices slightly higher but the overall experience would be much better.

I try to avoid United like the plague, but I'm flying it up to EWR ahead of the game on Saturday morning. I'm in a window seat so we'll see how this goes.

I rarely have any issues with United but helps to be having a free drink in the Club lounge, pre boarding, free baggage lol

Though, last time I did check a bag with them. Went to St. Thomas prior to a Ferry to Virgin Gorda. Everyone else got their bags quickly- mine, no where to be found. Went to the baggage desk to find my bag demolished and being held together by duct tape and saran wrap- no kidding. No apologies or explanation and we had to get on that Ferry so only had their number to call.
Their customer service just sucked and not willing to do much except the basic on the contract. I was allowed to get a new equal piece of luggage. But nothing to be done about any of the clothes that were either ripped or anything else.

Abduct a small child to take with you. Between that and the window seat, you'll be on the plane way before everybody else.

I'm chock full of s... olutions. 🙂

Alright, gonna have to try that ..and Zak's chipotle version ..and with bacon.
going with the grilled cheese- who here pretty much sticks with the standard sharp cheddar and who goes a bit rouge? I like a few mixtures but the secret to great- just a small amount of asiago on it is amazing. Wife loves my breakfast GC- where it gets a over medium egg and bacon in with the cheese as well.

I also no longer butter both sides of the bread as I was taught. No need for the inside butter. just adds the fat and calories to an already unhealthy but delish meal.
And she does take a side of ketchup to dip it in...ewwwww

I’m in terminal A boarding a United flight to Fll. I don’t know if they used the new boarding process because I pre board as 1K, but this was the longest flight process I have ever been a part of. This is a disaster and they should go back to old boarding process.

It was doomed from the beginning. With all the exceptions to the "window seat first" rule, the aisles will be jammed up during the entire boarding process.

Sometimes, in corporate America, we see decisions implemented that are so profoundly stupid that the only response is to roll them back and fire the person that approved it in the first place.
