99.9% of the time I fill-up at the same station near my house. I can count on one hand the number of times I have had to wait more than a minute for the attendant.

I've never heard anyone saying I'm a "car guy" if they pump their own gas. Never. Something you are just making up.
Simply it's faster. Some places like WAWA have 1 guy covering 6-8 pumps. The Sunoco's on the Turnpike take 15/20 mins to get gas. I get it you're lazy and don't want it to go away. Lots of people are lazy. Go to a Dunkin, McDonald's, Chick-fil-A etc and the line for drive through can be crazy long. Park and actually walk in a you are in and out in no time. Both ways are a convenience for different reasons. Why people like you are so mad about is bizarre.
