I wonder who are the LF and CF of the re future and if they are likely to come from this list of prospects. Which remains very infielder heavy. I guess Benge could be one.

Jett or Benge in CF probably. The more options the better and trade bait is fine also.

It's early but I guess this guy could be a possibility. Just drafted last year and off to a good early start in high A ball.

He's a big guy. Doubt he sticks in CF but maybe a corner OF. Him and Benge drafted only last year so need to give it some time.

Always good to tune in to the game to see he made an error that led to two unearned runs and now he’s 0-2 with two strikeouts, why in the world is he still in the lineup?

Vientos 5-42 but at least he has hit and was big in the playoffs.

McNeil coming back soon and will be thrown into 5 hole.

Just got out of last place for team BA , today may put them back in last.

still have a few points on BA keeping us out of last. I think we dropped to .210 today but there actually 7 teams worse...

BTW - everyone loves our pitching coach but one thing I have noticed over the past couple of years- the number of guys we walk has been through the roof.
We used to be always a team that gave up very few walks but the free passes just keep piling up

Baty’s receiving a steady diet of breaking balls and off-speed pitches, and they’re getting him out. I suspect that he didn’t get that treatment in Spring training.

Pete is the only hitter really balling right now. Will he be a .300 hitter all season? Probably not. But if he can hit a solid .270 with monster power numbers then it's all good. He might even get them talking extension in-season.

Diaz struggled again, giving up 2 runs in the 9th but just held on to turn a 3 run game into a 1 run win.

The team isn’t hitting well but it is funny, every time we need a big hit, it seems like our guys get it.
As for Pete, damn, dude is just raking. And back to going the opposite way.

Good thing the Mets schedule has been on the light side so far. I understand why fans are down on Baty, but he is far from the only one not hitting. Its early but Vientos is approaching an old pitchers batting average. Acuna got a couple of hits last night so I assume he will stay in the line up. 12 K's by Mets hitters last night even though they did a good job extending at bats and making the A's staff throw over 200 pitches. Wins are all that matter but other than Pete and the bullpen there is a lot of room for improvement.

Thankfully they got Pete deal done this off-season - albeit for one year.

Swagless V definitely a concern. Still have patience with him after October, unlike Baty.

I ll take a 9-4 Record any day to start the season !

Need McNeil and Alvarez back to lengthen lineup as bottom 3rd of lineup is not good !

Need some more Tyrone Taylor in cf.

You just initiated the Knight Report jinx. Rule #1 - never list a team's overall record in a positive manner.
