Why don't you complain that they only scored 2 runs?

Phillies lost to the Bucs tonight. Braves just lost on a walk-off wild pitch in the 10th. Love it.

It’s been over a year and a half since Mauricio was injured, so I don’t see this as early to put him at short. Now, is he a good SS? I don’t know.

Posting during games is never a good thing. But damn, I was reading before looking at the score and thought we were getting blown out and were now 5 games behind the Phillies
Twas a painful game to watch. I'm fairly even-keeled, but it felt like the Meta were going to lose to the lowly Rockies.

Kudos to Mauricio on his first hit, but he looks very uncomfortable at bat, flailing at pitches.

It is strange with Mauricio…it isn’t like he has never seen this level pitching.

Lindor is just adding to his legend.

Mauricio hasn't been back in action for long, after a long sit-out. So, hot or cold before he got here, I'm not surprised. But he's got talent.

I didn't like him, however, taking some time to stare at his double off the wall after it left the bat yesterday.

I mean he really hasn’t seen this level of pitching …he was up for a cup of coffee a couple years ago. I think he’s gonna be good player …a plum guarantee!

Clay Holmes is one of best stories of this baseball season. Guy gets removed as closer and is completely vilified across town only to get paid and become a solid starter. That’s baseball Susan…😂

Mets acquired Justin Garza from the Giants for cash considerations. Minor league deal

To that…

We do have the best booth in baseball, TV and radio.

Half of my guys are Mets and the other half are Yankees fans. So depending on who is playing (and working - LOL) that’s what’s on TV.

I’ve learned from Michael Kay just about every Yankee is a HoFer.

Man, if you're a SS in the Mets farm system you better ask to play another position because you're blocked from playing that spot for the foreseeable future. Lindor is just an amazing player and team leader!

The Mets have an organizational dilemma here. It is common for organizations to have a glut of shortstops, because that's where the best athletes play. Some are moved to other positions. Others compete for the shortstop job on the parent club, which on the Mets is unavailable.

So, what should the Mets do with their many SS prospects?

* Move them off the position early, to better fit the Mets needs? OR

* Continue to develop them at SS, which is the premium position, in order to maximize their trade value?

Phils get Skenes today

Dollander vs Mets. 2nd start after being on IL with forearm issue. 3 innings last start. Decent pitcher , just work and get him out early since still might be on pitch count.

Jett is really the only close one and he can play some other spots. He's probably better off at CF or 2B anyways so no concern really. Everyone else keep at SS when they're years away.

I would add that Lindor has six years left after this one. Everyone's skills do erode eventually. Maybe sometime between now and 2031, he'll be moved off SS.

Good problem for the Mets organization but at some point players will move to other positions or teams. I guess the next question is when they draft as each round comes and a SS and other position player are considered equal in talent, will they pick something other than SS?

Lindor could/should DH a few games here and there for a week or two. You’d be trading DH of young/marte for Acuna/baty.

Who goes when Vientos comes back ??

Vientos probably. The other guys have a lot more flexibility. Acuna can play 2nd, 3rd and short. Mauricio can play 2nd, 3rd and short. Baty can play 2nd and 3rd.

@Doctor Worm is correct.

Vientos won't be going to the minors when healthy. It'll be Acuna or Mauricio perhaps but worry about it when it comes to that.

Could it be Young to go? McNeil and Marte move to the outfield and the younger players mix second third and DH?
