that’s is pretty darn crappy to put it nicely
Ignore feature is your friend, my friend. Baty made two fantastic plays last night, and almost made a third. He flies faster and higher than the flying squirrel! Gutting out wins and not falling behind the Philthies. . . .Yet we still won 3 in a row!!
The doom and gloom here is one reason I almost didn't come back.
It took me a while to try the ignore feature, but it's key. We certainly use it in life.Ignore feature is your friend, my friend. Baty made two fantastic plays last night, and almost made a third. LFGM.
In sports and in life, it's better to find the positives than to dwell on the negatives. That does not mean the negatives should be ignored, but neither should the positives. If that makes any sense. . . . .It took me a while to try the ignore feature, but it's key. We certainly use it in life.
Huge attendance figures continue and will continue all the way to the WS !
Mets can save a few prospects if they are willing to pay for most/all of the contract(s) coming to Mets in a trade
Manaea Senga Peterson with Holmes as long man in a playoff series will be tough on opponent , deadline fast approaching , rumors of Mets trading for LeBron Jameswill soon surface
Amazing how bad the farm was not that long ago...question- as I do not follow that close, I know we just made a huge international signing, which of the prospects are international?Pipeline updated top 30. Here's their preface and updated list.
We are in this kind of strange in-between limbo land when it comes to prospect rankings. It’s after the Draft but before the signing deadline (July 28), and we’ve historically not done any updates to our lists until after all the draftees are signed.
But at the same time, we’ve recognized that our rankings are a bit outdated in advance of the Trade Deadline (July 31). Yes, we’ve done “market corrections” to our Top 100 Prospects list a couple of times now, but the team Top 30s have been virtually untouched and we wanted to correct that, believing it will help provide more updated information and context if and when prospects get dealt over the next week.
It’s not a full-on rerank -- that will come in August with the 2025 Draft class folded in -- it’s a freshening-up of all of the lists. We’ve reranked every team's top 10 and then made room for any players who deserved to jump up or move down 10 or more spaces on their respective team rankings.
Mets
The Mets have among the most up arrows of any club in this update with Jacob Reimer, A.J. Ewing, Jack Wenninger, Will Watson and Anthony Nunez all jumping up 10 or more spots while Wellington Aracena debuts in the top 20. Even with a step back for preseason No. 1 Brandon Sproat, New York's Top 100 contingent of Jett Williams, Jonah Tong, Nolan McLean and Carson Benge has strengthened its standing among the game’s best.

That the Mets signed themselves that would be Baez, Pena, Aracena, Gutierrez, and Lantigua. Suero technically might be an INTL signing but he was born in the Bronx. I further if he counted towards INTL pool money or not.
That's Elian Pena. He's in DSL and should be state side next year starting in the FCL.which was the kid from this year with the huge bonus?
I kind of miss those days when players earned an advantage. Glavine and Maddox got those calls because the Ump knew that was exactly where those guys were throwing it. And the flamethrowers like Seaver would get their high strikes. At Shea, I sat behind home plate watching pitch after pitch getting called a strike for the Braves' Glavine that were clearly balls (way outside). The Diaz K was far less egregious than that.

That was beyond ridiculesOMG - that is ridiculous. How did some of those batters not lose their sh*t?

Umpires’ strike zones back then were mysterious and horrible. Umps are so much better now because they themselves are judged against the electronic system after every game An at bat like that one happens much less often now, and so it stands out more. Regardless, we’re not giving that strikeout back.At Shea, I sat behind home plate watching pitch after pitch getting called a strike for the Braves' Glavine that were clearly balls (way outside). i don't disagree but there is a part of my childhood that loved knowing that a certain ump was always a guy that was going to give the high strike. Batters came to the plate also knowing who was behind the plate and their tendency. I wish Zap was here with us as I am sure he always knew who was the Homeplate umpire and how they called the gameUmpires’ strike zones back then were mysterious and horrible.
