I was expecting a loss in game 1 with the disadvantage in starting pitching, but wasn't expecting that. You tip your cap and turn to tomorrow. I do like the matchups the next 3 days.
I was thinking along the same lines. Would have been nice to beat Gausman but Boonie threw the towel in once he saw Weaver didn't have it today. Fried against a rookie tmrrw favors us; hopefully they can get the road win there and close it out at home. Rodon/Bieber game 3 and Jays I think are doing a bullpen game against Schlittler.

I'm glad that they're not playing tonight... I need a day off from the crappy baseball. I hope they can find a way to regroup (we've seen plenty of teams go down 2-0 and then win 3 straight), but I'm not too optimistic after getting trucked for two games.

Looks like the off season thread will be starting up in about 2.5 hours. A couple of friends texted me tonight basically saying that one team brought energy and the other didn't. It's a shame that the Yankees treated this like a Spring training game in March and showed zero pride... if you're going to lose, keep it competitive.

Win or lose tonight, at least Judge finally showed the f up.
Finally?? Aaron Judge is batting .500 in the playoffs and .637 for this series. No other NY Yankees player is at or above .300 for the playoffs, they need the other players to show up. Especially Stanton with his .167 stat!!

Judge has been hitting- and as you mention- no one else is really showing up. If Stanton was his normal October self- the series may look different.

Hard to believe that it is actually the starting pitching that is failing.

Hitting doesn't matter, it's about producing runs when it matters most.

The most consistent guy at the plate and you're calling him out?
He is 3rd in rbi in the playoffs and if the others Yankees players could actually get on base he would have more. He is also 2nd in runs scored.
Your hatred of Judge is duly noted 🙄

Slow down on the RBIs. He had 1 RBI against Boston and that was a clear error and 1 RBI against Toronto in game 2 while down 185-0. So yeah, last night was Judge's first meaningful performance.

It's okay to hold the Yankees captain to high standards.

As someone who was a the stadium last night - sitting in Row 1 of 334 with a GREAT view of the Judge HR going off the foul pole - your friend was full of ****.

So did we find out if there was a reason WHY those 2 idiots ran onto the field last night? Was it some sort of protest or just idiots being idiots (who will never enter Yankee Stadium again)?

And ignore those doing nothing. The problem isn't the Captain.

Judge was batting .210(?) lifetime, post-season, going into last night with very few big hits and unfortunately too many BAD at-bats over the years. He HAD to come up big - for once - and finally did last night. Boy-oh-boy did he and, lemme tell you, that stadium went from hopping (pre-game)-to-dead (Vlad Jr)-to-active (6-3)-to-LIT all in one swing of the bat!!! Judge made his "October chops," as they say, and it may have just turned this series around!!!

Good bye to Devin Williams...fitting end to your brief career in New York.

Don't let the door hit you in the azz on the way out.
Take Volpe, Chisholm, Weaver, Doval, Slater and Dominguez with you.

Jazz is gonna incur the wrath of the Yankees fans after this one and in the offseason. Key error tonight, poor at bats with runners on.

Big picture — 2 freakin hits against a bullpen game??? Gotta be better than a McMahon solo HR and nothing else.

9 outs to go…4-1 Toronto.

Jazz is a moron. Comes up to bat with two on after the intentional walk and another walk and this clown swings at the first two pitches = missing and then hitting a weak fly ball. Why not work the count against the reliever!!?!

Wells...LOL...down by four runs, two consecutive walks to load the bases...swings at first pitch!!!

The baseball IQ of some of these clowns is laughable.
My biggest regret was not getting to watch Volpe strike out for the fourth time tonite.
He ended the season striking out 14X in his last 19 ABs.
