How do you guys all feel about the trade deadline? It seems you didn't give up much- got a 3B, utility in Rosario, bullpen. It seems like you have improved. Gil coming back helps a ton as well.

If interested:
Reds vs Braves are playing at Bristol Motor Speedway tonight.
Should be cool to check out for a little while anyway.

And I thought Mets Fans led the LEAGUE IN COMPLAINING, LMFAO!
Damn i've never posted on here so this is a first. Dont listen to those few clowns in the Mets thread who act like its only us Mets fans who are upset when the team stinks up the field. Not just here but im sure the Phillies fans have had lots of gripes because they've been just as inconsistent and mediocre.

1st and 3rd, one out top of the 10th, would liked to have seen Rice batting there rather than Wells

Another Devin Williams special tonight. Love the stat YES put up. D. Williams has give up 26 earned runs this year, which matches his total from 2022-2024 seasons combined.

Another 2 hit performance for the Yanks... this season just needs to end. How can a team with a $300 million payroll look so inept?

We need them to crash and burn as much as possible. If they collapse and miss the playoffs maybe Hal will find his balls to fire Cashman, Boone, the analytics team and start over.

The problem is, would Hal be capable of hiring the GM of the future?

I'm happy to see the Yankees move up in the standings in the last week... up 4 on the Royals, 2 on the Mariners (3 in the loss column) and 1.5 on Boston (2 in the loss column). They're only 4 in back of Toronto. I'd love to see them get 3 this weekend (I know that Boston has been a thorn in their side all year).

Against Boston...SSDD...lousy defense(Volpe..LOL), stupid base running(Wells), spotty relief pitching(take your pick), can't score a guy from 3rd with <2 outs, and mind numbing dumb decisions by Boone(pitching Doval at all and throwing Bednar trailing 1-0 ).
Bird, Doval, Slater, and McMahon might be the four worst deadline acquisitions in MLB history.
What a shitshow!

Well, the real 2025 Yankees showed up this weekend. They rolled over and played dead against their arch rival. The pitching has been poor and the hitting overly reliant on the long ball. Thankfully Rutgers football will help draw my attention away starting in a few days.

The Cashman Yankees suck. No heart. No Guts. Just a soft team that can't handle any pressure or adversity. And it will stay that way until Hal finds the BALLS to fire everyone and start over.

Is Hal too proud to admit mistakes and that's why no changes are ever made?

My gawd....why is Volpe not in AAA working on ...EVERYTHING?

I'm not sure what happened to this thread, but it looks like it got lost in the transfer to the new board.

Although I'm not too bullish on advancing far in the postseason, I'll give the team credit for getting through the gauntlet at 7-5. Hopefully they maintain their position as the top wildcard to get home field in the first round.

It's a mediocre team that routinely comes up small in big spots. However, the entire AL is pretty awful for a 2nd season in a row. The Yanks could make it to the WS again and then get embarrassed by a real team (like LA or Milwaukee).

Regardless, still hard to get excited.

Truly a pathetic showing by The Varsity fanbase. Why did someone even bother to start a in season thread for their fans?🤮

I see you came over because your Mets are a complete disaster for their payroll and the Mets thread is a cesspool! I love Mets fans who can't help themselves by showing they are completely stupid.

Where you been and yes you're right, the Mets have been a complete disaster, but guess what, we TALK ABOUT it in our thread. Are you really going to waste your time and start another Yankees thread next season and what happened to so many not able to figure out how to get over in this thread, to quote you,

Mets fans are too stupid to figure it out or ask for help

Although it shouldn't have come to it against a bottom of standings team, that was a gutsy rally in the 9th. The Yanks are in the playoffs and now only a game behind Toronto. They probably need to go 4-1 to make up 2 games. Let's see what happens the rest of this week.

You know how I know this team will struggle in the post season...just look at the first inning on Wednesday...walk, walk, walk, short flyout, K, K.

Never have seen a team worse at scoring a guy from 3rd with less than two outs.

And that bum Cashman got from the Rockies...LOL
