Looking way ahead, does Walker pitch Game 4 in the desert next Friday night, the 20th?
Plus,if Rhys comes back at DH,it puts Schwarber in left in place of Pache/Marsh.
Is the tradeoff worth it?

Please do not post on the TKR (automatic jinx) board about who is going to pitch a week from now for the next two games. Thanks, I appreciate you future cooperation. Go Phils!

The crowd is likely trying to encourage Nola to resign here on the possibility that this may have been his last game here.
See,I didn't mention anything about next week.

The best signing ever by any team! Club friendly too!
I think we discussed it at the but one of the smart things about that deal was the length. It lowered the AAV, giving them in season flexibility with the payroll. Also, since everyone knew the DH was coming at some point the longer deal allowed for Harper to move to DH if needed when he could no longer play outfield. That came up earlier than expected and worked out.

That contract and Zach Wheeler's deal are 2 great deals. The Phillies may have gotten more bang for the buck with him then any recent pitcher contract from any team (not including arbitration eligible players).

Yeah I fear Nola is going to get paid by someone. He's on the downside half of his career. The Phils rode him like a plow horse since his last contract. It's not my money so I say sign him but prudence would dictate the Phils not match the $120M/5 he's likely to get.
