I read that article too. No thanks. We’d be giving up too much plus losing a starting pitcher ….. I’d rather see us get a corner OF (Bellinger or Soto) and a starter. It seems that Dombrowksi is set on getting a starter and a right handed bat.
Soto and Bellinger both do. I’d take either. I’d prefer Bellinger as he’s having a great year, he plays anywhere in the OF or 1st base and he’d prolly require less in return.

My only fear is Dombrowski loves to trade away the future for wins while he's employed. I'd hate to see any of the kids go, Bohm, Painter, the other kid pitcher, the CF, or God forbid, Stott, just for a 32 year old expensive player.
I'm OK with McGarry and some the other kids being traded out. But to me Bohm and Stott are part of the core of the team. Stott is playing GREAT. And someone has to be on a cheap contract or they'll be paying $400M a year and have no prospects.
