Der, lock it up if you want, but I have to say this. For years I have understood both sides of the argument. I get it, the left has fat attached to it, it feeds the masses. The right is leaner and has more bang for the Buck. I’ve always just said, the hell with it, I will just enjoy both sides for their values. I honestly lean towards the left because of the better flavor for all, but now I have a situation. Apparently Burnt ends should be pulled from the left side of the brisket “the point” and I have a party guest asking for them. I’m sorry, when did point lives become less valuable than flat “the right” lives? I’m not having that. I will March the streets with the Rev Malcom Reed, and the Meat Church to profess the PLM platform. I understand the idea that all brisket matters, but the fact that points are subjugated as an inferior product just pisses me off.

I'm hittin Bucc ees tomorrow for their world famous brisket. Definitely air fryer quality brisket.
Which Bucee’s? If it’s TX Bucee’s, you are good. If it’s the Robertsdale location just drive an extra hour and I can hook you up.

I was a Democrat in high school. And a member of the SDS. I converted to conservatism when I saw what 18-20% interest rates could do to a country during the Carter term. I switched to the GOP when Reagan won. The Democratic Party back then was at least reasonable. Now, they are basically the Communist Democratic Party. We are literally in a Communist takeover of our country. Never thought I would see that in my lifetime. Heck, John F Kennedy wouldn't even be allowed into the Democratic Party as it stands now.

As a centrist I've always known that pulled pork is the best bbq. I'll eat brisket in Texas, a when in Rome kind of thing and to respect the culture, but pork dominates the South for a reason.

My wife and I had this conversation yesterday. I have always been an independent and have voted for both sides through the years. I still consider JFK as the best President during my lifetime. There is no way he would be a Democrat in this party. They should change their name at this point because they are not the Democratic party. At a minimum they should call themselves the Socialist Party. Tri-tips and briskets are best slow cooked on a charcoal grill. Hank Hill got it all wrong.

Same goes for Reagan and the modern GOP. He would just be another actor.

I lean right and vote middle right, but I hang left if you know what I mean. It just feels more comfortable when it's hanging left. I think it has something to do with that side of the zipper. Less chance of a hang up. Still have to watch the balls.

To those who actually took a good joke and tried to make this an actual political thread, WTF? Seriously.
I tried this kind of thing many years ago and it went well.

I like a smoked chicken thigh with a glaze of sauce. I'll never turn down pulled pork. I converted almost all of my Texas friends to pork, sausage, and chicken instead of brisket. Great brisket is excellent, but with a lovely medium-sized chicken thigh, you only need one hand to hold and eat it and a napkin in the other.

- The OP was joking around.
- You don't know what Communism is.
- Your boy Reagan wouldn't have any power in today's GOP. He wouldn't be extreme enough to hold influence.
- Perpetual outrage must be exhausting.
- Restaurants that cube and burn some chuck roast then call it burnt ends need to be shut down.

I don't go to a barbeque restaurant and order beef.

Brisket? Beef? I think you lean more left than you realize. Why don’t you just move to Austin while you’re at it. Pork ribs and shoulders are king and the only things worth debating.

The mainstream political world is just about as extreme as it can get. Neither party looks anything like they are "supposed to." I'm afraid of what the ticket is going to look like.

Pork ribs are the flat chested women of BBQ. They'll do in a pinch, but why put in the effort for something you can't even sink your teeth into.

Pork butts are the 450lbs Mama June's. Any idiot can take them to tenderland, but when you're done your stomach is queezy from all that fat you just plowed down.

Now the brisket my friend is a lot of effort, but damn if she doesn't have that perfect amount of jiggle. She's so desired dudes post pictures on Instagram and Reddit when they nail a brisket just so people believe him.

And now to the beef ribs. This is the long slim legged, big tìttied, 300° smoke show of BBQ. Few ever even find them in the wild, but when you share her with you friends, well that's how legends are made.

So the quick run down.
