They remained married for 77 years.
Contrast their attitude toward marriage with that of Paul Hornung who said that he preferred to get married in the morning because if it doesn't work out,you haven't blown the whole day.

Very sad. Rip. It's terribly ironic that a woman who devoted most of her life to helping people with mental illness had to suffer through dementia at the end. She was a credit to our country and an advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves. God bless.
