Getting rid of SS is in our best interest. I can do more with the money the government is stealing from me and giving back then they can. SS is a Ponzi scheme.

Getting rid of it would be an even bigger clusterfuck than the system as it is with the current pols in charge in DC (both parties). A Reagan - O'Neil agreement where everybody feels some pain could buy some more time (the first bought a generation which got pissed away), but nobody down there has the guts to do it.

Let me guess, you think Biden is an honest guy and completely lucid.
Let me guess you think Trump is a candidate who has the values of a US President?
He is a pathological liar, Adulterer, Grifter, narcissist, lacks integrity, and screws people ( see his “University and Charities”.) LMAO
Trumpanzees are poor misguided souls who have been hoodwinked.

But re: Social Security, most people are counting on it.

Even though I'm not, either, I feel in my heart the need to do that which I feel is most American and take into account their needs.

I'm not all that enthusiastic about abortion, TBH. But I'm also not a woman. And I'm not oblivious to the fact that there are a LOT of women who have to face pregnancy under, in some cases, horrifying circumstances. I do not presume that my feelings are more important than theirs, or that my needs (which are precisely zero re: this topic) are more important than theirs.

It's long felt, to me, that there is an upswell of people in this country who really don't give a **** about anyone other than themselves. In 2016 we elected as President the undisputed champion of people who don't give a **** about anyone other than themselves. Since then it's just been a train wreck waiting to happen.
Excellent post. I couldn't agree more.

Well, I've never seen him sniffing kids, lying about more things than one can count, using the government to enrich his drug addict son and himself, or fall off a bike standing there.

Grifter? Adulterer? Ask fake doctor Jill's ex husband about that.

What do you think when you see him sniffing and groping kids? Totally normal right?

There have been times in the past when I have disagreed with @SkilletHead2. On rare occasions I have disagreed with him quite dramatically.

But I know a couple of things.

First, I know he's smarter than I am. Second, I know - from the years that I have called him "friend" - that he's pretty high up on the list of folks who believe in the greater good. He is the polar opposite of the people I spoke of in my last post.

You openly mocking him does absolutely nothing but demonstrate to the Universe that you are a total c*nt.

What? As opposed to grabbing p*ssies and raping women? If you can't admit Trump is a horrible person you're a partisan hack.

No, just underage girls at Epstein's place.

Enriching drug addict sons? Um... "Don Jr" mean anything?

Plenty of footage of Trump having trouble with his footing.

You’ve never seen Trump lie?!?!?! Would give you a little credibility if you were honest and said both Biden and Trump are trash of a different feather (as I have said despite being a supposed “Libtard”), but acting like your guy isn’t a pathological liar is absurd.

All you need to know that they're partisan hacks and robots is their staunch defense of Trump. Even many of his other supporters admit he's a gross person, they just look past it.

I've never seen anyone in the world lie like Biden. All politicians lie. He takes the cake. A life of lies. My current favorite is how he used to drive an 18 wheeler. It's surpassed taking down Corn Pop with a tire chain for wearing grease in the pool.

Of course, the lies he tells about his family are up there. Too many to list really. Whopper King.

He's also a pedophile, but you knew that.

Big time. Stage 3. Like a bunch of people I see post here.

Urban Dictionary offers up this handy definition: “Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their dislike of Donald Trump, to the point at which they will abandon all logic and reason.”

Justin Raimondo, the editorial director of Antiwar.com, wrote a piece in the Los Angeles Times in 2016 that broke TDS down into three distinct phases or stages:

  1. “In the first stage of the disease, victims lose all sense of proportion. The president-elect’s every tweet provokes a firestorm, as if 140 characters were all it took to change the world.”
  2. “The mid-level stages of TDS have a profound effect on the victim’s vocabulary: Sufferers speak a distinctive language consisting solely of hyperbole.”
  3. “As TDS progresses, the afflicted lose the ability to distinguish fantasy from reality.”

He was a mod on TOS and got the CE board shut because posters would bow to the BLM fraud being pushed
Just for the sake of accuracy, I got that board started for talking about political events because I thought it could be a really good location to have great discussions of politics. But the usual suspects you can see on this thread (and others) inundated it immediately with garbage and juvenile name-calling (and sadly, worse). And for the record, I had absolutely nothing to do with it being shut down. I thought with stricter moderation, it could be saved.

I'd still love to find a place where good back and forth could be had on politics as I often try to understand where folks on the other side of the arguments are coming from. What are the motivations and values behind their beliefs? As I said above, I disagree with Ashokan almost 100% of the time, but at least he honestly presents his perspective and provides links to his arguments.

Still am a mod over there. Thr free board is great for real info on Covid and climate.

Get real with this "usual suspects" name-calling, insults, etc--go back and see which side started here.

In this day and age it's not possible to have real info and debate because Trump morons will crash your conversation even if they're not invited. It's a Brownshirt tactic of crushing disagreement.

Yeah before Mildone started up a board after that loon Jay got the CE board here shut we went over to TOS CE where only one viewpoint was allowed. All in on covid and blm was what they wanted
All viewpoints were allowed as long as a simple set of rules was followed, but your gang thought it would be fun to see how far you could push those rules and the discussions fell apart. As I said, too bad.
